Chapter 124 The Final Disaster
Entrance Exam CEHA, Pocket Dimension.
Gydarra brandished his sword at Olivia and sternly declared, "You are not a part of this challenge; you have no right to interfere!" He then pointed his sword at Dallan, "You know what he has done?"
"No! I don\'t know what he has done!" Olivia replied.
Gydarra felt his pride had been deeply wounded by Olivia\'s intrusion into his actions, and he was determined not to accept it silently. "Therefore, I beg you to stay out of it," he said sternly.
Olivia\'s sword suddenly disappeared from her hand; however, the tension in the air remained palpable. Gydarra and the dark elves stayed alert and vigilant, their weapons at the ready and forming a protective circle.
"Gydarra," Olivia whispered gently. "Would you be willing to listen to what I have to say? I\'m not looking to stir up any trouble, but I want to try and stop something far worse from happening. May I explain?"
"The biggest issue here is betrayal. This alliance was supposed to be formed through agreement and cooperation, but someone has broken that bond. What else can you tell me?"
Olivia smiled upon hearing Gydarra\'s words, then she turned to Robert and asked, "Robert... Am I going too far into this?"
Robert smiled and slowly walked, stopping between Gydarra and Olivia. "I\'m so impressed by our CEHA senior," he said. "Olivia Aveline is an exceptional student council president, chosen not only for her charisma and leadership but also for her immense potential as a hunter."
Robert then faced Lily and Lewis. "Lewis Gardner," he began, "he is a tank role and protector who is highly skilled in swordplay, while also ensuring the safety of his party partners."
"Ch!" Lewis clicked his tongue, crossed his arms, and averted his gaze from Robert as he spoke.
"Lily Gardner is a highly talented and skilled swordsman, her technique is comparable to that of Olivia. Additionally, James is a highly gifted magician at CEHA."
Robert faced a daunting task, knowing that Gydarra wouldn\'t give in easily. Fortunately, he had Olivia to help him out should it come to a fight. Taking a deep breath, Robert smiled at everyone.
"What I\'m trying to say is that I hope we can fully comprehend what they have to say. I believe this will have an impact on all of us."
Robert then approached Dallan, who was kneeling. He declared, "As for Dallan, I suggest we keep him in custody until we decide on a suitable punishment and verify that he is, in fact, the one who was responsible." Robert then gazed at Gydarra, inquiring, "Do we concur?"
Gydarra smiled faintly, placing his sword on his shoulder, and said, "If so." He then cast a sharp glance at both Robert and Olivia. Robert was about to intercede, but Olivia quickly shook her head.
Gydarra continued walking towards Dallan, and when he got to him, he firmly grasped the back of his neck. "In that case, I\'ll be the one holding this bastard hostage," he declared. "Then I won\'t mind your deal."
Despite Gydarra\'s seemingly stubborn and impolite demeanor, it was undeniable that he commanded a certain degree of respect from many people. He spoke his thoughts and was rarely one to go back on his word. Even with some doubts, everyone in the area felt compelled to concur with what he said.
"I believe this decision is fair enough, don\'t you think, Robert?" Olivia asked, turning her head to face him.
Robert nodded in agreement, and those who had been ready to challenge Gydarra, slowly put away their weapons.
After a few minutes and the situation had cooled off, Olivia nodded and moved towards the crowd. "Okay, as I said earlier, I have something important to say," she declared, then turning to face Robert. "Robert, can you tell me how many Elite monsters you managed to take out during the last attack?"
Robert seemed to ponder for a bit before responding. "From the seven dimensional cracks that opened prior to the attack, we encountered precisely seven elite monsters, one from each dimensional crack," he clarified.
Olivia nodded and smiled faintly. "Okay, actually..." She spun around to get everyone\'s attention. "It\'s only been a few hours since the four of us arrived here, yet we have already encountered five elite monsters over level 95," she announced, causing everyone in the area to look shocked and start murmuring among themselves.
Had it not been Olivia Aveline who spoke those words, many would have likely assumed she was lying, as the strongest Elite monster they had ever encountered was a level 90 Elite Frost Giant, defeated by Nathan and his companions.
Olivia raised her right hand, giving the signal for everyone to go quiet. "All right," she said, "I understand that you may think the monsters we\'ll be facing come from the dimensional cracks Robert has discovered. However, I\'d like to point out another fact - these monsters may not be our true challenge."
"Just hearing the name \'Level 95 Elite Monster\' makes me shudder," several people responded.
"If it wasn\'t Olivia who had said it, I probably wouldn\'t have believed it," they added.
The atmosphere became silent for a while, and as Olivia gave her last words, they were all absorbed in the reality of the situation.
Lily, who had been standing still, slowly walked towards Gaem. "Do you know where Nathan is right now?" she whispered softly.
"I thought you and Master Nathan were related, given that you both have the same last name?" Gaem inquired, smiling, "Moments ago, Master Nathan and the rest of his party took the wounded Muramoto away and his whereabouts are currently unknown."
Olivia, hearing Gaem\'s words, then turned to her. "Are you saying that Nathan is not with us?" she questioned.
Olivia walked towards Robert, her voice full of concern. "Robert, right now we need all the strength and support we can get if we\'re going to face the challenges ahead; time is of the essence. I\'m confident that Nathan has so much potential and I really hope we don\'t have to go through this without him." she said.
Olivia\'s words caused the entire area to fall into silence. Despite many people\'s attempts to hide it, they eventually acknowledged the potential of Nathan and his group.
Suddenly, the ground beneath their feet began to vibrate violently, like an earthquake.
Olivia was alarmed, and her expression became rigid.
Most of the people in the area hurriedly crouched to the ground, overwhelmed by the intensity of the shaking, as if the ground was about to burst under their feet.
"I think our guests arrived too early," Olivia said, her voice booming loudly and reverberating through the air as if it were tearing at their ears.
The ground beneath shook violently, like something monstrous was about to come out. Cracks ran from one side to the other, causing the ice fortress to crumble on multiple facets.
"What\'s happening?" Robert exclaimed, his voice trembling.
Standing close to Olivia, James remarked with a grave expression, "The energy coming off it is so powerful, it must be higher than Elite."
"I can sense it too," Olivia replied, her face tense with concentration. "It\'s definitely stronger than an Elite monster. A General Grade Monster."
