Chapter 122

Despite one body being headless, the corpses were clean, and there were no other visible wounds on them except for the cut on the other body’s neck.

When Ozul stood near the corpses, Raven went ahead to store them in her Spatial Ring since she thought that he wanted to sell them later or use it in some other way.

However, just as she was about to do so, Ozul stopped her, “There is no need to store them.”

Since the men were still gathered around, they also heard his words, and some of them got curious as to why Ozul was not going to store the corpses. Was there something that they did not know?

Ozul had already become a mysterious person in their eyes, so almost all of them neared him to see what he would do with the corpses.

Although not as valuable as the Mana Cores, the bodies of the drake’s were also precious. Each part of their body, be it their skin or their meat, everything was valuable.

.....

Even Raven was confused as to why Ozul did not want her to store the corpses, but she complied anyway and moved back. Instead of questioning him, Raven calmly watched as to what Ozul was going to with the bodies right now.

There were many uses of a drake’s body like melting a part of their skin with the addition of some other medicinal herbs would result in an elixir that could instantly increase the tier of any Fighter under rank 8!

And it was not only the skin, but almost all body parts of a drake’s body were valuable. And that was the sole reason that everyone was so excited to hunt them down.

For these people, the drakes were like walking treasure troves. Even one of them was enough for the mercenaries to fight like madmen, as they had done earlier.

Even when the corpses had hundreds of uses, Raven could not understand what Ozul wanted to do at this moment since all of the things required the use of other herbs and precious pills, which they did not have at the moment.

And she was not the only one who had such questions in their minds. Hanry, Clive, and Barry also stood among those people who were curious about what Ozul was about to do now.

Blaze, on the other hand, was still sulking in the corner for not being able to be of any use.

Under everyone’s curious eyes, Ozul suddenly said, “Blaze! Come here. It is your turn to be useful for once.”

These words caused Blaze’s eyes to lit up as he ran back as fast as he could and stood before Ozul, like a seasoned soldier who was ready to give his life before going to the battlefield.

“What do I have to do?” Blaze asked, excited that it was him who was called and not Raven.

Ozul did not answer him right away and instead looked around the forest. The people who were surrounding him stepped aside when they realized that he was looking for something, and they blocked his vision.

“Hm... Dig the ground at that place.” Ozul said while pointing towards a specific spot where there was less vegetation. That area looked to be the only place which big enough near the group. Only a single giant tree stood in that place.

“Uh... Just that?” Blaze asked.

“Yes, just that.”

“I don’t have to kill people or defeat some beasts?” Blaze asked as his tone got gloomier by the second.

“No. You only have to dig some dirt.” Ozul replied, not minding whatever state Blaze was in right now.

“...” Blaze seemingly muttered something to himself, but no one was able to hear him.

“Did you say something?” Ozul asked. He could also not make any sense of what Blaze was trying to say.

“Oh! Nothing nothing... I just asked, how much do I need to dig?” Blaze rubbed the back of his head embarrassedly.

“Just enough for these two to fit in.” Ozul pointed towards the drakes’ bodies.

“Oh? Okay.” Blaze looked at the bodies before making his way over to the area. He created a giant ice shovel and started digging.

However, not everyone was as calm as him. Because he was not aware of the value of a drake’s body, Blaze did not care much.

But unlike him, the others all had one question in their minds.

“Are we going to... bury them?” Fortunately for others, Raven asked the question that they all wanted the answer to.

“Yes.” Ozul calmly replied as if it was not a big deal.

However, his answer left everyone stupefied on the scene! Why was he going to bury such valuable material!?

“But why?” Again, Raven asked the question that was in everyone’s mind. But the others weren’t so friendly with Ozul that they could ask their queries themselves.

“Hm? Because I said so.” Ozul shrugged. He did not want to explain all of his reasons. It was just too much effort.

However, he made up a random excuse when he saw Raven’s eyes twitching, “Well, I don’t want other beasts gathering here because of their smell.”

“But Why leave these bodies here in the first place? Each part of theirs are worth a fortune!” Raven did not understand why Ozul did not want them to take the bodies and sell them somewhere to make a profit.

She tried to explain their worth when she thought that he might be unaware of the value.

However, Ozul did not budge from his decision. He wasn’t even listening to whatever she said next!

“No means no. We are burying him, and that’s final.” Ozul finally said in a tone that indicated that there was no room for negotiation at all.

Raven knew that further persuasion was useless, so she sighed and didn’t say anything else.

It was rare for beasts to show the behavior such as the male drake had done. Unless the beast were rank 7 or above, they wouldn’t jump towards death just because of the revenge for their partner’s death.

If it were any ordinary rank 6 beast instead of the male drake, he would have already run away after realizing the danger.

‘Maybe they really do have some bloodline from the dragons?’ Ozul contemplated in his mind.

Some stories suggested that dragons were prideful creatures. They wouldn’t bow to anyone, and their loyalty to their loved ones also surpassed that of humans.

Ozul thought that if the drakes really did have the bloodline of dragons, then the behavior of the male drake after his partner’s death was reasonable.

It wasn’t that the male drake’s love towards its lover had moved Ozul. He had just noticed something from the corner of his eyes that others hadn’t.

Moreover, it was also true that Ozul did not want beasts to gather in here to feast on the drake’s dead bodies.

As Blaze was digging up the dirt, some of the people surrounding Ozul had anxious expressions. They couldn’t bear to watch such valuable materials being buried under the earth without any care.
