Chapter 2191.2: A Large Store Bullies Its Customers

“Immortal Gazer itself is a premier faction in the world of cultivation. Apart from some new money upstarts of third rank empires, who would dare start a fight in one of their establishments? Even I don’t have such gall.”

It was indeed Lu Yun’s first time hearing this name. There was no such establishment in Darklake Empire. As for his three thousand lifetimes… forget it. Who knew what dilapidated corner the Immortal Gazer had been scrabbling in when he reincarnated?

The disturbance alarmed nearby customers. Many minds peered through the hole in the formation and watched Lu Yun with schadenfreude.

Lu Yun looked at Sir Sui. The latter’s age matched his appearance—less than thirty years old. But he was already mid nascent soul. If his strength didn’t come from a plethora of pills and medicines, then he was a genius.

“Who’s causing trouble in the establishment?” Grand Steward Tie Shanhe walked over with a stiff expression. It shifted as soon as he saw Sir Sui. “So it’s the little prince. Tie Shanhe has shown a lack of courtesy in not welcoming you earlier, please forgive me.”

Tie Shanhe was initial soul projection, but he still raised cupped fists to Sir Sui.

“Little prince?” Lu Yun’s eyebrows rose when he heard the term of address. He was reminded of the city lord of Boulder Rise that he’d killed before—the one who called himself the grandson of Prince Sui of Dark Orchid. Did this little prince have something to do with that one?

“Oh?” Lu Yun brightened as the Eye of Nullification showed him a piece of Frostmoon Ice in Tie Shanhe’s storage ring.

“Greetings to Grand Steward Tie!” Sir Sui quickly responded in kind.

Lu Yun remained expressionless as he wanted to see how this grand steward handled the situation. The elder in golden robes ran back, clutching his stomach. Lu Yun’s kick had caused significant damage, and that was with the young man showing mercy. Otherwise, the elder would be dead from one kick.

The elder added fuel to the flames when he recounted earlier happenings and glared coldly at Lu Yun.

“So it is this gentleman who is not satisfied with our cuisine, demanded reparations, and struck our people?” Tie Shanhe regarded Lu Yun frostily.

“Heh heh heh heh…” Lu Yun burst into laughter. “Is Grand Steward He not going to ask him why he entered my room without my say-so?”

“No matter what you say, you will die for hurting someone of the establishment!”

Tyranny! Utter tyranny!

Tie Shanhe took a step forward and pressed his palm down on Lu Yun’s forehead. A powerful force of constraint blossomed at the same time and enveloped the young man’s body.

The grand steward meant to kill Lu Yun with one palm strike!

Lu Yun sneered and shook himself all over, raising his head proudly.

Bam!

Tie Shanhe smacked Lu Yun’s forehead without holding anything back. But under Sir Sui’s startled gaze, the grand steward’s hand bounced off and the man fell backward as well.

“You, you!!” Tie Shanhe stared incredulously at Lu Yun. How had a seventeen year old young man repelled his strike?

The manager in golden robes rubbed his eyes fiercely, unwilling to believe the sight playing out in front of him. Tie Shanhe was a soul projection powerhouse, one of the most preeminent existences in Dark Orchid! How was he unable to jerk a young man around?

“Heh heh heh heh heh, so a mere Immortal Gazer dares strut around in front of this young master? If I say your food is subpar, then your food is subpar! Are you supposed to be an establishment of note? I will dismantle your building today and see what you can do about it!” Lu Yun imitated Tie Shanhe and stepped forward, raising his hand to smack it on the grand steward’s forehead.

Hummm!

Pale green light flickered into existence the second before Lu Yun’s hand connected. It was a lower spirit rank defensive treasure!

Bam!

Lu Yun’s hand continued unabated, smashing into the curtain of light like it was a sledgehammer.

Boom!

A muffled explosion rang out of the room as Tie Shanhe’s legs sank into the floorboards. Tiny cracks webbed through the pale green curtain over his head. If it wasn’t for a powerful defensive formation nearby, he would already be in the floor below.

“You!” Tie Shanhe spat out blood as he was injured alongside the damage to his treasure.

“A lower spirit rank treasure for defense? No worries, I’ll keep that in mind and make sure to kill you next time.” Lu Yun didn’t intend to let the matter go. It’d be one thing if Tie Shanhe hadn’t irritated him, but now that he had, Lu Yun didn’t intend to show mercy.

Tie Shanhe had plainly wanted his life just now, so the young man would answer in kind. Not to mention, the grand steward owned the Frostmoon Ice that he so urgently desired.

Crimson radiance flashed from his hand as Immortals Forbidden bloomed with a meter of sword light. It struck straight for Tie Shanhe’s head.

“Stop!” Sir Sui jumped with shock. How dares someone attack the Immortal Gazer grand steward in their own building? This faction was so terrifying that even his grandfather, Prince Sui, was very wary of them. If it was known that Tie Shanhe had been slain right in front of him, then he might as well evacuate from the empire right now.

Schick!

Fiery sword light appeared in Sui Ge’s hand as he blocked Lu Yun’s sword.

“Oof, he’s so strong!” Sui Ge paled and stumbled a few steps back. His move saved Tie Shanhe, but his expression shifted when he looked at his flying sword. It was an upper spirit rank weapon that his grandfather had personally requested for him. It commanded a lofty status even among upper spirit rank weapons.

But now, there was a nick the size of a grain of rice on it!

“You have an upper spirit rank weapon too!” Sui Ge looked greedily at the crimson flying sword in Lu Yun’s hand. Upper spirit rank weapons were very rare in Dark Orchid, each of them the pride of the nation. If he wasn’t Prince Sui’s most important grandson and tapped to be his successor, he wouldn’t have one either.

But the young man before him also held one and it was plainly of higher quality! How could a self-styled genius like Sui Ge resist?

“You want to bar my way?” Lu Yun looked coldly at Sui Ge, Immortals Forbidden balefully belching with light.

“Defeating a soul projection as a nascent soul, you definitely have a background of your own.” Sui Ge stared fixedly at the sword in Lu Yun’s hand. “As the grandson of Prince Sui of the Dark Orchid Empire, I will not allow you to run amuck through Immortal Gazer. Arrest him!”

He stood back as his four guards charged forward. They threw out four treasures of different colors that assembled into a strange configuration in the air.

They were latter nascent soul and their treasures paramount fine rank, but they came together with the aura that only soul separation cultivators could command. It was the heaven and earth image of a soul separation powerhouse!

The image of a pale green seal formed in the air and loomed over Lu Yun with fearsome aura.

“This is a joint combat art… Prince Sui does have a few tricks up his sleeves, eh.” Lu Yun looked sharply at the attack and slid to the side, evading the attack.

Tie Shanhe had recovered his wits and quickly formed some hand seals, directing the formations in the building to suppress Lu Yun. Matters would not end like this today.

Lu Yun felt something tighten around his body before the formations had him in their grasp. The image of a seal over this head also careened into him. Sui Ge and Tie Shanhe acted at the same time, sending out their flying swords like two murderous scaled-dragons.

BOOM!

Immortal Gazer shook from an enormous explosion. Most of the customers realized something was amiss and left, but some of the guests in the private rooms stayed for the show.

“Where is he?” Sui Ge looked around with an unpleasant expression. The private room they stood in was completely destroyed from the blow and there was a massive hole in the ground, but no sign of Lu Yun.

“Right here.”

Pfft pfft pfft pfft!

Red sword light flashed through the air at the same time and decapitated Sui Ge’s four guards before they had the chance to react. Even their nascent souls were churned to pieces by his sword light. Their treasures landed in Lu Yun’s grasp and he quickly grasped the situation after scanning them.

“I see, so they’re a set of four and come from Immortal Burial Valley…” The young man was disappointed. Any nascent soul cultivator that could bring the strength of soul separation to bear was worthy of his attention, but this was the reason why?

The treasures?

He could refine any number of sets if he had sufficient time. And here he’d thought it was some sophisticated joint combat art!
