Chapter 64 - 64 Stay Away

“Where’s Zhao Chuchu? Get the hell out!” Zhao Xing’s mother yelled as soon as she stepped into the house.

Zhao Chuchu only glanced at the woman and ignored her.

The other people quickly stopped Zhao Xing’s mother and asked, “What’s wrong?”

“This has nothing to do with you! Zhao Chuchu! Get the hell out and save my son!” the mother roared.

The lady slowly got up. “I can save him as long as you pay me.”

“Why should I? My son is in that condition because of you! It’s your responsibility to save him!”

Zhao Chuchu was completely confused by that statement.

“Come with me now! I’ll kill you if my son dies!”

Zhao Xing’s mother charged toward Zhao Chuchu, wanting to drag the lady back with her.

Zhao Chuchu swiftly evaded the woman before swinging the knife toward the woman’s neck.

She stopped just before the blade met the flesh.

Zhao Xing’s mother was so terrified that her face turned pale. “Zhao Chuchu! What are you doing?” she scolded.

“How dare you come here and make a scene? Did you forget that we still have a score to settle from yesterday? Do you think I’m an easy target?”

With that remark, the lady swung the knife across the top of the woman’s head, shaving some of the hair off.

“Ah!” Zhao Xing’s mother screamed. “She’s trying to kill me!”

“Didn’t you say you would kill me? Zhao Xing only has no wound other than a scald when he left here yesterday! Why are you blaming me when he got hit for doing something bad?”

Zhao Xing’s mother fell butt-first onto the floor while screaming in fear.

Yet, not a single person offered their help to her.

“If I see you making a scene, here again, I’ll cut your hand off.” Zhao Chuchu scoffed.

Zhao Xing’s mother quickly crawled out of the house and into the porch.

“You better get as far away from me as possible if you treasure your life. Don’t you dare accuse me of all your wrongdoings! If you want, let’s go to the county office and see who they’ll side with!”

“You bitch! How can you watch someone die without doing anything? Yo- Ah!”

Zhao Xing’s mother’s sentence was cut short when a knife was thrown toward her. It scared her so much that she pissed off her pants.

The knife dug itself deep into the wall next to the woman.

She looked at Zhao Chuchu, who was walking toward her, and screamed, “S-stay away from me!”

Zhao Chuchu glanced at the woman, walked past her, and pulled the knife out of the wall.

“Before you threaten me to save your son, you should ask what he had done yesterday. Did he get caught stealing from other people again? You better ensure he stops doing that, or he’ll die before you.”

Zhao Xing’s mother looked at Zhao Chuchu in fear.

The lady turned and left.

The mother thought of the state her son was in. As a mother, she knew what kind of a person her son was, and it wasn’t the first time he came back home injured. It’d make sense that her son got himself involved in huge trouble.

Zhao Xing’s mother struggled to get back up and rushed home to have someone carry Zhao Xing to the county to find a doctor.

Zhao Xing was lucky as he didn’t die from that.

However, from that day onward, he could not mate, nor could he walk anymore. He was pretty much disabled down from his waist.

The mother cried very hard, but the brothers pouted as they scolded God in their minds for not taking Zhao Xing down to hell instead, as they’d have to spend the rest of their lives taking care of a disabled person.

They couldn’t say that out loud because their mother was present since the youngest was always loved the most.

Zhao Chuchu took a peek at Zhao Xing when he was transported to the town. The man was heavily injured, but Xie Heng did hold back a little and did not kill him.

However, the method was so precise that it made Zhao Chuchu wonder where such a scholar like Xie Heng learned that from.
