Chapter 139 Cat Dad is a Cat’s Disciple
Chapter 139 – Cat Dad is a Cat’s Disciple
Watching Mu-Nyang drawing pictures and writing was fascinating and rewarding. Even though he was an obnoxious and mysterious cat, he looked cute when he moved a pen like a giant bloom to draw and write.
While waiting for Mu-Nyang to finish, Xiaomao brought his laptop to the kitchen table and browsed the news on the game website.
[World Three Breaking News! A new dungeon under Pangu Church!]
[World Three Event News! Yuan Emperor banished Pangu Church from his kingdom!]
[World Three Scandal! Hacker or Skills? Top Guild got PKed and lost all equipment!]
[Massive Frigates sighted at World Three’s Siren City! Age of Pirate and Sea Soon?]

[World One Incoming War! Netherworld Empire and Dragon Clan formed a coalition against the Nian Cult and Pangu Church! Floppa’s lovers and cat lovers enraged!]
The worlds were evolving nonstop. Every game world was always lively as players and NPC struggled to outdo each other. However, this was just a prelude to the grand war between players and game worlds in the future.
He read news articles related to World Three and the movements in other worlds.
World One’s spotlight was on Hiiro Narukami’s feats as he hogged all the major achievements, titles, and quest rewards alone. Even when the NPCs waged war against each other, he was always there to rob all contributions from other players, causing many gamers to hate him. But in the future, he would become the leader of all superhumans when the cultivators appeared.
World Two was the most chaotic because of the nonstop war between cultivators and demons. In addition, Mao Miaomiao, whom Xiaomao was curious about, was always at the center of the typhoon.
Xiaomao still remembered the events in his previous life – Mao Miaomiao singlehandedly destroyed Shu Han Republic and razed the country’s capital city to the ground during the war before he went missing for a long time.
World One and World Two’s events were the same as what Xiaomao knew, but many events in world three changed because of him.
The existence of Pangu Church’s dungeon was kept a secret between Spartan Guild’s members until the cultivator invasion occurred. The guild opened the dungeon to the public and collected PACTs as the entrance fee in the later years.
The business scheme of Spartan Guild was no more in this life. Every elite player would soon flood the dungeon and eliminate the NPCs inside, which would deal a heavy blow to Pangu Army’s advancement.
Thinking of Pangu Army, Xiaomao was reminded of Meng Xin.
In his previous life, Zhao Fei was the boss of Meng Xin. Together, they terrorized the Mermaid Kingdom and ruined many underwater cities after Cernun was dead.
But now, their fates changed.
Because of his excitement, Xiaomao voiced his thoughts out loud.
“Zhao Fei has lost his right-hand man. Torrent’s soul is in my inventory. Meng Xin is on the loose. The church lost its influence in Yuan Empire. Everything is getting crazy lately.”
Mu-Nyang overheard it. He stopped scribing and stared at Xiaomao.
Munya? (Zhao Fei? The son of Zhao Bao?)
“You know him? Who’s Zhao Bao?”
Munya (Just a stupid monk. Anyway, nothing good will come if you get involved with that family. Stay clear from that Meng and Zhao guys for now, okay?)
Once again, Mu-Nyang never told him the essential information other than being cryptic or mysterious. Deep down inside, Xiaomao wanted to keep pestering him until Mu-Nyang give up. But when he recalled the bus incident and Nian’s existence, Xiaomao refrained from asking further.
For the entire morning, Xiaomao did nothing but browse the game websites and read news articles to keep up with the real world’s events. He also texted his parents, wondering when they would come home.
At noon, Mu-Nyang finished scribing 50-page-worth of pictures and weird texts. He compiled them and sat on the papers.
Munya! (Done! Now, peasant. Kowtow to me three times and accept me as your master!)
Xiaomao froze. He frowned and glanced at Mu-Nyang.
“Is that necessary?”
Munya! (Cultivator’s ethic and ceremony! Without it, your lucky streak will end!)
“…”
Xiaomao rested his elbows on the kitchen table and covered his face with his palms. He sighed.
Life was strange, but his life was weird.
The game was real. Superhumans were real. Aliens were real.
That was not enough. He died and regressed to the past. He got OP skills and powers in-game out of nowhere. Nian attacked him in the real world, and Mu-Nyang talked like a sage.
Now, Mu-Nyang wanted him to be his disciple.
‘Yup, my life is absolutely normal! If my cat is a god, I don’t mind worshiping him.’
Having nothing to lose aside from his sanity, Xiaomao went on his knees, prostrating to Mu-Nyang on the floor.
Munya (Three times.)
Xiaomao bitterly smiled. He took a deep breath and sincerely kowtowed, hitting his forehead on the marble floor three times.
The floor cracked, but his forehead showed no signs of injury.
Mu-Nyang nodded and brightly smiled. Then, the papers that he had been sitting on transformed into a bamboo scroll manual, which looked similar to the game’s ultimate manual.
Munya! (I’m taking a huge risk by doing this, but it’s necessary to change our future.)
Mu-Nyang moved away from the manual and kicked it down from the kitchen table. Xiaomao widened his eyes and stared at the scroll in disbelief.
“You can even make a game item in real life?!”
Nyaha-Munya! (Obviously, of course! Whoops. I talked too much.)
“…”
Munya Munya Munya! (Anyway, don’t enter the game today. Instead, practice whatever the scroll tells you. You will need it.)
“Okay.”
Xiaomao shrugged and accepted the new reality. After all, he had faith in Mu-Nyang regardless of whatever the cat’s identity was.
The bamboo scroll looked old-fashioned. After opening the scroll manual, Xiaomao found ancient Chinese texts.
It was unreadable. Even Xiaomao, the ace of his class, failed to recognize these characters.
Staring at the characters for the moment, his eyes grew hotter. Xiaomao instinctively blinked several times, thinking that he used his eyes too much.
DING
Xiaomao didn’t know if he began hallucinating or hearing things. He heard a game notification sound.
