Chapter 118: Ye Xingguang, How Dare You! 1
Xiao Yun approached, carrying a hot cup of water, and offered it to Ye Junqing.
“Lord Junqing, take a sip of this water to ease your mind. Miss Ye… she might just be scared. You can’t blame her for being terrified when hearing about this kind of thing, especially since she’s just a recent college graduate.”
Xiao Yun stared at the closed bedroom door, unsure of what to say.
He was disappointed. If this was how Miss Ye reacted, she didn’t deserve to stay by Lord Junqings side.
“This is good.” Ye Junqing smiled.
He suppressed the wild uproar inside every cell of his body. It felt like every one of his cells was either a vampire or zombie on a train packed with monsters, ready to break through the window and take a bite out of someone.
“Isn’t this normal? I was overthinking…”
He had gotten ahead of himself, misguidedly believing that she would be the same as before – persistent, annoying and impossible to get rid of. But reality slapped him hard in the face.
History was always eerily similar, there was no future between them! The government assigned her to him, it was torture for both of them!
“Creak
The tightly shut bedroom door suddenly swung open.
Ye Xingguang emerged from the bedroom, carefully carrying a bowl of red liquid to Ye Junqing.
“Quick, drink this. It will temporarily alleviate your discomfort.”
“Miss Ye, you…”
Xiao Yun stared at the alarming red in shock.
Ye Junqing also spotted the red liquid. Before he could hide his disappointment, he was filled with fury, his eyes turned red, veins popping, yelling: “Ye Xingguang, what’s this! You dare! You dare to draw blood!” “Huh? It’s not blood, don’t misunderstand, you’re not worth me drawing blood to feed you.” Ye Xingguang replied.
“Then tell me, what is this!”
Did she think he was a fool?
How could she dare to, why would she…
What was she trying to accomplish?
A physical discomfort was nothing compared to the shock and sting brought by the bowl of fresh red blood. Pain… Heartache…
He would never allow her to harm herself like this!
“It’s really not blood!” Ye Xingguang hurriedly explained.
“Leave!” Ye Junqing didn’t want to listen. If he could move his hands and feet, he would have pushed her away himself.
Ye Xingguang was furious. Something she’d put great effort into was rejected, she was glad that he was immobile so she could do as she pleased, and proceeded to bring the bowl to his lips.
“Just take a sip. Open your mouth, good boy, ah…”
“Go! Go away!’
“Ye Junqing refused, turning his head, “Xiao Yun, get rid of her!”
Xiao Yun, stunned for a while, immediately stopped Ye Xingguang from doing as she pleased to Lord Junqing. He could not accept this, it was even more unbearable than killing Lord Junqing.
“Miss Ye, if Lord Junqing wanted to drink blood, he wouldn’t need you. Any of us would be willing to draw our own blood to feed him, but… Lord Junqing doesn’t drink blood.’
“I’ve already said this isn’t blood. Can’t you understand plain language?”
She was so frustrated!
“Then what is this?” asked Xiao Yun.
Ye Xingguang hesitated on how to explain, finally muttering noncommittally: “Why do you have so many questions? Instead of wasting time, you should help me hold his head still so he can drink this medicine!”
But the overpowering smell of blood made for a poor argument. Xiao Yun knew Lord Junqing would never drink blood and didn’t help her..
