Chapter 21 - The Second Mysterious Talent, S-Level Talent [Luck Convergence]!

As expected, the beast-taming talent of these high schoolers from Mining Rock City was mostly between F and E rank.

Only a few students had D-rank talent, and among them, those with D-rank talent subtly became the center of the group.

What more could Bai Zian say about this?

“Huh, there’s actually an S-rank talent?”

Just as Bai Zian was about to withdraw his gaze, he noticed something unusual. It was a girl sitting silently in the last seat of the carriage, wearing an old school uniform. She didn’t communicate with her classmates and appeared a bit withdrawn. However, her talent was somewhat special:

[Luck Convergence Talent: S-rank Mystical Talent. It can accumulate others’ good fortune and release it all at once when enough is collected.]

“An S-rank talent, and like me, it’s also a Mystical talent, even related to luck.”

“This girl’s potential seems astonishing.”

Bai Zian’s eyes lit up immediately. To be honest, this was only the second S-rank talent he had encountered—the first being the little phoenix Feng Qianyu. Of course, Bai Zian’s own “S-rank talent” didn’t count.

This alone highlighted the rarity of S-rank talents. It could be said that this girl was a genius among geniuses.

More importantly, her talent belonged to the Mystical type, which Bai Zian considered even more precious.

Bai Zian’s Eye of Revelation was a Mystical talent, which showed the uniqueness of this type. The fact that her beast-taming talent was related to luck made it even more extraordinary.

Luck was something intangible and elusive, but anything related to it was special. Bai Zian felt that if this talent were used properly, it could surpass even S-rank talents, perhaps reaching SS-rank.

This girl’s potential far exceeded that of so-called genius beast tamers. Because of this, Bai Zian became deeply interested in her.

However, the girl’s situation didn’t seem particularly good. Her classmates appeared to be intentionally or unintentionally distancing themselves from her.

Moreover, awakening an S-rank talent should have caused a sensation in the surrounding cities or even the entire Ten Thousand Spider Nest Secret Realm. Under normal circumstances, there was no way Bai Lin City wouldn’t know about it.

If Bai Zian’s grandfather, Bai Jingchong, knew that such a genius had appeared in one of Bai Lin City’s subsidiary towns, he would have immediately brought her to Bai Lin City for proper cultivation, rather than letting her continue to grow wild in Mining Rock City.

Clearly, there were some secrets behind this matter, which piqued Bai Zian’s interest even more.

“Hey, little brother, where are you from? Why are you traveling to Candlefire City alone?”

“Yeah, the wilderness is so dangerous. Even with the protection of the Thousand-Blade Centipede Train, aren’t you scared of traveling by yourself?”

As Bai Zian was pondering this, a female high school student couldn’t help but strike up a conversation with him. It was inevitable, given Bai Zian’s unique situation of traveling alone on the Thousand-Blade Centipede Train.

Even though they were high school students, they needed teachers to accompany them. The most important reason, though, was Bai Zian’s strikingly handsome appearance, which made them want to talk to him.

After all, if they could become friends with Bai Zian or even get his contact information, that would be even better.

Encouraged by this, they mustered the courage to approach him.

In response, Bai Zian could only roll his eyes inwardly. “Are they trying to chat, or is this just blatant flirting?”

He never expected to be flirted with by a group of high school girls.

Of course, Bai Zian had no intention of giving them his contact information.

However, he didn’t reject the opportunity to chat, as it gave him a chance to subtly inquire about the S-rank girl. Soon, all the girls surrounded Bai Zian, chattering away, while the male classmates were completely ignored, casting resentful glances at Bai Zian.

Feeling both amused and helpless, Bai Zian chose to ignore them.

“Qiao Gubai, that’s quite a nice name,” Bai Zian soon learned the name of the girl with the special talent. However, he didn’t inquire further, as asking too many questions would expose his intentions.

Meanwhile, the Thousand-Blade Centipede Train slowly arrived at the Candlefire City. Under the disappointed gazes of the girls, Bai Zian left the train station.

“Big sister Bai Shao, come out. I have something to ask you.”

Once Bai Zian reached a secluded spot, he called out.

A second later, a tall, purple-haired woman with an outstanding temperament appeared before him. This was Bai Zian’s other protector, the gold-level beast tamer, Bai Shao.

If Bai Zhi was the cold, ice queen type, then Bai Shao was a different kind of presence—cheerful and full of heroic spirit, like a valiant female general.

“Xiao An, what do you need?”

Bai Shao asked with a smile as she approached him. Unlike the strict Bai Zhi, Bai Shao was more open and friendly, treating Bai Zian like family and calling him “Xiao An” affectionately, something he didn’t mind at all.

“Sister Bai Shao, help me investigate someone named Qiao Gubai, a student from Mining Rock City’s Beast Taming High School. This person is a bit special, and I need detailed information about her.”

Bai Zian quickly explained his intentions. The reason he had called Bai Shao was to investigate the girl with the S-rank Mystical talent.

With the Bai family’s influence, investigating a student in a subsidiary city of Bai Lin City was a simple task.
