Chapter 65: The Berserk Minotaur
The mighty creature, aided by its high defense and health pool, tried its best to overpower Stark with its superior strength and brute force.
~BOOM~
It smashed the ground with its hammer, and when Stark avoided it, it would try to use its body to slam him to turn him into a pancake.
"INVINCIBLE DODGE," the first time, Stark was taken aback, forcing him to roll away using his invincibility frames and avoid the slam that would surely kill him.
At this point, most of the people surrounding the \'Death Canyon\' were watching Stark\'s fight as it was the most interesting one, all others were too one-sided or just plain up boring, and it seemed like they had wiped out the monsters available already, meaning they would need to wait for more to spawn.
Despite his impressive evasion skills, Stark was not immune to the minotaur\'s raw power.
Every now and then, the creature, using its increased speed from the [Berserk] state it was in, would managet to take him by surprise and almost hit him.
"AURA SMASH!" Stark dodged another hammer blow and sent a crimson fist at the monster, who received it in the head.
"-5351!" the damage was very low, it\'s high defense in addition to the berserk state made it immune to pain too, resulting in it not even budging with this attack.
But Stark sent another one, which the minotaur yet again didn\'t avoid.
It now believed that although Stark was dealing quite decent damage to it, it could overpower him and in the end win by hitting him with a single attack.
~SWING~
It shielder itself from the crimson fist using its hammer vertically, but there was no use.
"-3721!" the damage yet again was extremely low compared to Stark\'s usual standarts.
But what it didn\'t expect was…
[Enemy stunned!]
The minotaur felt a shiver go through its spine, and suddenly… it couldn\'t move anymore, it was like an external force was not allowing him to do anything anymore.
\'…?\' it looked at the boy with widened eyes, its pupils on him.
"Gotcha!" but all it could see was Stark\'s wide grin.
"He can stun enemies?" one of the classifirs that had already fought their monster mumbled.
The \'Stun\' affect was very rare in comparison to what Stark believed: he had gotten used to it since it was the first real skill he had gotten, but it never really went through his mind just how overpowered being able to stun an enemy was.
And in addition to that, \'Aura Smash\' had a 30% chance to stun the enemy, making it one hell of a powerful skill.
"Hmm~ interesting," a white-haired woman grinned as well, she was floating in the air (but of course a magical wall was stopping her from passing the death canyon that way).
"That little shit…" Jack, the one that had caused a commotion at the beginning of the rift sneered, visibly upset that the \'bunny masked\' boy was attracting so much attention.
But getting so much attention from powerful classifiers from all over the world was both a good and bad thing, since now even though they didn\'t know his face, \'the \'bunny masked boy\' was an alias they gave to Stark, meaning that he was bringing both people with good intentions, and those who on the otherhand wanted to get rid of him.
"CLONE FRENZY!" not caring about the gazes of everyone, Stark summoned one of his clones since it had been more than thirty minutes since the last use.
The crimson Stark appeared beside the original, looking at him before staring at the minotaur with a blank expression, it then nodded, understanding what it was supposed to do, and dashed at the monster.
"Clones that react to you and can actually fight…" Vex observed from afar alongside the \'Crimson Moon Squad\', they had arrived shortly before Stark, and were surprised to see him go all out.
But unbeknownst to them, Stark wasn\'t going all out at all, it was the complete opposite, he was frankly enjoying toying with the minotaur.
"CRIMSON SPEAR," the clone sent three spears at the minotaur\'s right leg, the three weapons piercing it and making huge holes appear.
"-3259! -4361! -3972!"
"GAK~" the minotaur fell to its knee, its right leg completely useless now.
A monster didn\'t need to reach 0HP to become useless, not at all, they could lose both arm and be unable to use their weapons, or both legs, forcing them to be in place.
This was the reason why aiming for the head caused much more damage than anything else, and why decapitating a monster (even if it had 1 million HP), would result in an instant death.
[Canyon Minotaur (STRONG) HP: 17027/80000]
Stark had already caused massive damage to it before it was even stunned, so putting it at such a disadvantage and even summoning a clone to do the work was overkill.
But needless to say, Stark enjoyed this type of things, he was a full-on sadist.
"CRIMSON SPEARS," he summoned his own spears while the clone took the hammer from the minotaur\'s arm while it could only watch in terror.
"How is that clone even lifting such a massive weapon, it doesn\'t make sense…" murmurs spread, and the reason was obvious: even though it was only a clone, it was able to easily take that heavy hammer from the minotaur\'s strong grip and lift it away.
But the real question everyone was asking was: \'Just how strong is that guy if even the clone is that powerful…\'
Oh boy… what could their reactions be if they knew Stark actually had two clones, and all of them could use \'Double Assault\', a legendary skill.
"CYA, MONSTER," his eyes burning with aura, Stark sent the three sears that appeared behind him toward the minotaur\'s head.
The first two passed right through its eyes and skull, rendering it blind.
"-18272! -17264!"
And the last one was aimed for the throat.
"-37618!" the damage was phenomenal, the highest amount Stark had ever caused to an enemy yet.
And the reason was obvious: he had aimed for one of the minotaur\'s weaknesses.
Monsters also have weaknesses in this word, just like the \'Fake Trees\' weakness were their eyes, many monster have their heads, throat, or heart, as their weakness.
Although most time it was difficult to reach them since… y\'know… you are mid-battle and have to take many things into account.
And so just like that, Stark defeated the minotaur, the beast crumbling to the ground as its HP reached 0 and also because its neck was basically pierced.
