Chapter 117: Sierra, The Crystal Archer
Yet his stamina didn\'t seem to go down, actually it was the opposite, after every dodge or grab, his determination would grow.
And so just like that… Stark reached the end of the tunnel, and dashed through the silver fog without even taking a second to rest before the boss.
He was yet again surrounded by that weird feeling of being transported to another place as he passed the fog, and after a few seconds…
~FWISH~
He emerged on the other side.
And as soon as he did…
[You have entered the BOSS area!]
[Boss Area: \'Sierra\'s Crystal Lair\']
These two panels greeted him, but that wasn\'t all… since before he could even check his surroundings or see where the boss was…
A bow was right in front of his face, almost as if it had been waiting for him to come inside of the boss area to ambush him.
And so he bumped into it as [Focus] somehow couldn\'t detect ambushes while passing through the fog.
~FWISH~
"IT\'S MY WIN, HUMAN," Sierra laughed as she shot Stark, this time the arrow was so close that she was confident Stark wouldn\'t be able to avoid it.
But she never learns, does she?
"INVINCIBLE DODGE!" he activated his invincibility frames, not even bothering to move as if it so close he didn\'t even need to time it, and the arrow fazed right through him.
"Coward," Stark smiled before sending his fist toward Sierra\'s face.
Every boss until now had waited for Stark to enter its area before appearing, and yet… Sierra had waited just to ambush him.
Basically… she tried to win in a dirty way.
"And you call yourself an apostle of the Godless Demon," he mocked as he punched in her direction.
~SLAM~
Sensing the fist, and getting flashbacks from the immense damage she had gotten previously, Sierra blocked the attack with her bow by placing it sideways, but the impact still sent her back.
"-0!" she didn\'t receive any kind of damage though.
Stark took the small amount of time to check out his surroundings, after all he was now in the final area, \'Sierra\'s Crystal Lair\'.
The cave space around him was adorned with countless sparkling crystals, and there was a faint silver trail on the ground, leading to a large central platform.
On that platform lay a massive crystal throne, which was where Sierra was supposed to be if she was an actual normal monster/boss.
The boss area was massive, and there was enough space for the two to fight at their full potential in comparison to the \'Shadow Monument\' which was limited by the walls.
After analyzing everything he needed, Stark turned his head back to Sierra, who was now a few meters away from him thanks to the knock back of his punch.
"Sigh…" Sierra shook her head lightly, then she began heading toward her throne, "Has anyone told you that you are annoying?"
"Only monsters like you," Stark smiled as he saw her sit on her crystal throne, her bow still in hand.
She crossed her legs, and it was almost as if she wasn\'t gonna have the battle of her life in a few instants.
"Very well…" Sierra sighed, "Then… I guess it\'s time to do it the hard way," she suddenly got up, and her ocean eyes began to glow with an ethereal aura, her entire body surrounded by a powerful aura as well.
\'Did she just sit, just to get back up?\' Stark pondered, but decided not to think too much about it.
And that\'s when the panel finally appeared.
[Sierra, The Crystal Archer (BOSS)]
Stark decided to immediately use \'Perception\' as he hadn\'t been able to see her entire panel before.
…
[Name: Sierra, the Crystal Archer (BOSS)]
[Level: 80]
[HP: 245618/315000]
[Strength: 1492]
[Stamina: 2783]
[Speed: 3401]
[Defense: 2245]
[Skills: Shoot, Arrow Creation, Arrow Ray, Arrow Barrage, Archer\'s Focus, Crystal Burst, Teleportation, Crystal Shield, Puppet Control, Sierra\'s Final Stand, Crystal Transformation…]
…
"It\'s just you and me now!" Sierra span her bow around, throwing it from hand to hand in a very stylish way, maybe trying to prove that she is a master archer, and that she has complete control over her bow movements.
"ARROW CREATION! SHOOT!"
She tried to shoot an arrow at Stark after creating an arrow out of crystals and aura, but he obviously just avoided it.
\'Spatial Inventory,\' in return, Stark opened his inventory void and pulled out 2 potions of Strength and 2 potions of Speed, then he drank them all quickly.
He wanted to guarantee he would have the effect during the entire fight since his potions from before had already stopped working.
"AURA SMASH, CRIMSON SPEARS!" Stark retaliated by punching the air twice in Sierra\'s direction, sending two fists of aura and all his spears to her.
"Crystal Shield," but just like she did before, the archer transformed one of her arrows and shot it down to create a crystal wall that blocked everything.
"-0! -0! -0!"
~DASH~
Not wasting time, Stark dashed toward Sierra while she was defending herself using the crystal wall as a shield, and the moment it got destroyed…
"Hey there…" he appeared from behind the debris, taking the archer by surprise.
But it didn\'t mean that she couldn\'t get out of such a situation, after all… Sierra may be in an archer, but she is just as competent as most \'Warrior\' classes in hand-to-hand combat.
~FWISH, KICK~
She used her bow to block the punch again, and as soon as Stark tried to use that opportunity to launch his second hand at her… she spanned and kicked him out really hard in the stomach, sending him flying in the opposite direction.
[The Purgatory Shadow took the hit in your place]
"-0!"
He was still launched away, but received no damage whatsoever.
\'What the hell was that thing…\' Sierra wondered as she saw a shadow come out of one of Stark\'s rings to protect him, \'This boy is weird…\'
\'But…\' she suddenly grinned as she saw Stark retrieve his balance using his hands, \'This is exciting!\'
And so just like that… for the first time in a very long time, Sierra was beginning to enjoy the thrill of a battle.
But that meant that it would become much more difficult for Stark.
"ARROW RAY, CRYSTAL BURST!" she activated two skills at the same time all of a sudden, and the aura around her grew even more.
Her bow was beginning to be surrounded by an electrifying blue aura, and five giant crystal shards appeared behind Sierra, spinning around her in circles as well.
"It\'s time to end this, human," she shrugged as her grin grew even wider.
\'CLONE FRENZY!\' but Stark wouldn\'t let this go, and so he summoned only one of his clones as the other one was still on cooldown for 5 minutes.
\'I\'m gonna send you to hell, lady,\' he smiled as well, his eyes burning with a deep aura, "You\'re gonna join the mayor and the angel soon," he laughed, and her eyes slightly twitched upon hearing that.
And so just like that, Stark got ready to fight the opponent that could transform him into a monster with one single arrow.
