Chapter 93: Order Of The Eternal Flame
So, instead of fighting a growing force on the rise. They opted toward a more passive course of action"
A sigh nearly escaped Loki\'s mouth when he neared a very embarrassing part. A segment that was a stain on the reputations of all the gods in existence.
...
Azmond was a quick one to catch on. He could infer himselfwhich direction he guessed this conversation was heading in.
"You are saying that all you mighty and all powerful \'Gods\' sat on your asses and did absolutely nothing. Am I correct in my assumption?" A bored voice echoed out as Azmond became a little bold with his forthrightness.
He had extremely low opinions of cowards. If you had the power to fight an opposing force that was beneath you, and yet decided to do nothing. Why are you even at the Apex to begin with?
Disdain for these so-called \'Gods\' was visible in his demeanor. He thought they might be an interesting group of beings that had reached an untold level of power. But, now he was beginning to believe that they were no better than shelled up turtles with high stats.
Azmond saw beings like that as no different from useless trash
....
Loki was left dumbfounded at the forthcomingness of Azmond. \'Does this human fear nothing?? Talking about a god like that is a sure ticket way to hell. And, yet he said it with a nonchalant demeanor.
Almost as if one of those gods he was referring to was not standing right in front of him\'
He was left in a state of astonishment as he stared at Azmond like he was analyzing the existence of a weird new species of animal.
The animal in question cared not for the scrutinizing looks the blonde pervert was directing toward him. He instead focused back on a more pressing topic.
"So, what did you guys do after letting an ancient organization walk all over you?" A quizzical voice echoed out as a curious look formed on his face.
As much as he wanted to pick fun at Loki\'s folleyes, he knew that he shouldn\'t poke the bear too hard. Lest the bear strike back and swiftly bring about his end
Loki came out of his daze and noticed the clear apprehension present in Azmond\'s eyes. He wanted to comment on the mortal\'s weariness, but he assumed the mortal was acting like that because of his \'godly awesomeness\'.
\'This silly human must\'ve finally realized how great I am. I\'m glad he ultimately realized how far superior I am to his feeble mortal shell!\' Loki thought to himself with an air of Narcissism surrounding him.
"Let us talk more on the subject of \'The Order Of The Eternal Flame\'. This organization, as I have repeatedly reiterated, is a group that is believed to rival even the top echelons of God\'s Domain.
But, that is not the entire story behind the scenes." A reminiscent look crept up Loki\'s face as he reminisced on a time long passed.
\'He mentioned that name again\' Thoughts began swirling around inside of Azmond\'s head. \'God\'s Domain\' What sort of grandiose place would something have to be, for it to be called God\'s Domain?? I assume this place is the place Loki and the red Giant came from.
But, what confounds me is whether or not they grew up there or if they acquired enough power to enter that place?\'
He began contemplating a topica topic he would never be able to understand the truth of by himself
After a few seconds of tossing around ideas, he gave up before putting on a resolute face and taking a more direct route to answering his qualms.
"The truth of the matter and the source behind that Boundless Restoration technique you acquire is-" Loki continued speaking aloud before being abruptly interrupted by a certain inquisitive voice.
"What is this God\'s Domain you keep referring to, Loki?" Azmond asked straightforwardly.
He was not one to beat around the bush
The sly god became a little irritated over being rudely interrupted by a daring mortal. "Calling a god directly by his name is a little presumptuous of you, no?" He asked with a sinister gleam growing within his eyes.
"..." Azmond was a little surprised over what Loki chose to not pick over. He assumed the blonde pervert would make a big fuss over being interrupted. But, it seemed his priorities were focused elsewhere
"That is why we have names To use them." He responded with a blank looklike he was speaking to an idiot.
Loki\'s smile twitched a little over the obvious patronizing tone in Azmond\'s voice.
"You are truly the most audacious mortal I have ever met."
"Thank you."
"That wasn\'t a compliment"
"Whether or not a compliment is a compliment is open to interpretation."
"..." Loki was speechless.
"... You are really something else, alright" He spoke with an exasperated tone.
This mortal was such a handful to deal with. It was comparable to speaking to a rock
"Thank you." A response came instantaneously.
"... Forget it." Lokie was getting too old for this stuff. He just wanted to get this over with, so he reluctantly opted to answering Azmond\'s queries.
"To answer your question. God\'s Domain is a higher plane of existence than the one we reside in. It is the highest known plane of existence."
Azmond\'s interest immediately peaked as soon as Loki\'s word leaked out.
But he would be sorely disappointed at what was said next...
"Now, any further information than that is irrelevant to the current version of you. You are too weak to learn any more than you have. Your ultimate demise could be right around the corner if I divulge anything further to you." Loki\'s flat voice echoed out.
