Chapter 245: [Ruler's Boon]

|Mhmff!!| She grumbled with an aggrieved look on her face.

She was just trying to ask if they were almost there yet! He didn\'t have to mute her like that!

Boundless felt wronged!

"There is no need to ask that question, Boundless. Do you wish to know why?" Azmond inquired with a low tone.

|Wh-Why?|

His smile only grew after the fish took the bait, as he stopped flying after passing through a football field-like jungle pass atop a mountain.

"Because we\'re already here," he began, his hands moving to swipe a nearby leaf cover out of the way.

*Fwip*

Following his refined movements, there opened a whole new world for the three of them!

|Wow! So pretty!| Boundless exclaimed with shining eyes.

"Mhmu! Mhmu!"

Even Emu was no exception to that excitement as Emu jumped around in circles, seemingly looking for new potential meals!

After all, everything past the top of that mountain range was beyond breathtaking!

There were iridescent-colored trees that reflected the sun\'s rays like a beautiful morning glow; the entire place appeared to be encased in a large semi-translucent dome that stretched on for who knows how long.

But even with Azmond\'s insanely large divine sense, he could see no end to the semi-translucent film that coated this beautiful new world!

This new \'world\' was very similar to the \'world\' outside; there were only a few distinct differences between the two different areas.

The main one being that all the trees and mountains had melded with a certain color scheme that was unlike the blue lands of AquaRing and far different from the greenish scenery in the rest of the Great Wildlands Forest.

The \'world\' could be described as \'iridescent\', but in actuality, it was more along the lines of a crystal \'world\'. The trees were all analogous to those of clear, crystal trees, and that held true for the hills, mountains, and even the ground surface.

It was an extremely peculiar sight. But a beautiful one nonetheless. However, there was something else unusual about this \'Crystal World\'.

That something being

"There are so many monsters around here..." Azmond mentioned with a slightly astounded expression.

He gazed around the crystal world and noticed a skirmish occurring at the outskirts of the \'line\' that separates this \'crystal world\' from the outside \'world\'.

There looked to be a bipedal furry monster of sorts, around 30 meters tall, rowling up an ogre-like monster around 50 meters tall.

They both emitted auras that were well into the Golden Core Realm; however, the ogre-like monster appeared to be a few leagues higher in strength than the furry monster. And yet, for some odd reason, the furry monster was the one who initiated such a \'bout to the death\'.

Azmond continued to look upon the various monsters duking it out within a ten thousand-mile radius. But his attention always seemed to be drawn right back to the Ogre and bipedal Furry Monster duking it out.

...

"ROOARGHH!!"

"Eskeeeetch!"

Monster roars and screams echoed throughout the lands as various species of monster roamed the translucent world, devouring and killing each other!

The Bipedal Furry Monster and the Ogre Monster seemed to come to a victor as well; however, there was something unexpected about such an outcome...

The Bipedal Furry Monster had won!

It was a feat that made no sense, considering that the Ogre was at least a whole minor realm above the Bipedal Furry Monster!

"Hmm?"

Azmond, who watched their fight to the death from beginning to end, became a little fascinated by such an end result. It was such fascination that led to him using his Discerning Quantum Eye on the two beastsone dead and one alive. And that\'s when things really got interesting.

Two bright lights flashed in his vision.

[Ogre: Tier 0: Level 171] {[Stats: Strength: 867,000, Speed: 854,000 , Defense: 810,000, Qi: 765,000]} {[Relationship Status: Neutral]}

[Bipedal Furry: Tier 0: Level 152] {[Stats: Strength: 325,000, Speed: 334,000, Defense: 366,000, Qi: 410,000]} {[Relationship Status: Neutral]}

"Now this really does make things interesting," Azmond said with a small smile.

His interest had already been piqued when the obviously weaker monster had won its battle with an ogre monster that was clearly dozens of times stronger than it was. But after seeing their stat sheets, that interest had been further reaffirmed!

So, he checked the Bipedal Furry\'s stat sheet in a more in-depth manner and instantly noticed an odd skill in its skill bracket.

That skill being [Rulers Boon: Subservient subjects to the \'Furry King\' gain a 2000% increase in their strength in the heat of battle]

"Rulers Boon, eh? It doesn\'t appear to be class or race specific, so does that make it some sort of skill only pertaining to beings deemed as \'subjects\' to \'rulers\'?"

Azmond started to ponder over the subject for a few moments, before he ultimately came to a conclusion.

"This \'Rulers Boon\' is most definitely a skill that is obtained once one gains a certain \'following\'. That much I can deduce even without Boundless\'s assistance. However, what eludes me is how one is able to gain such an overpowered skill.

And also the different variations of it, because I\'m positive that this \'2000% boost in strength\' is far from the limit of such an attribute as a \'Ruler\'."

He deduced quite a number of things from just the information he was given, which wasn\'t very much.

There was also the change in levels that Azmond noticed. The first and most obvious thing being that the levels correlating to the strength of every being appeared to be altered, probably by Boundless to better suit the meta system in the world of Asterion.

He took another cursory glance around the translucent world and scanned a large number of monsters with his \'Discerning Quantum Eye\'. And what he discovered was that all the levels were revamped from their arbitrary values beforeto a now far more strict designation system.
