Chapter 54: [Meeting with the Old Group!]
Invar was a 30 years old muscular man. He had a bit tanned skin, with navy blue hair and deep ocean blue eyes. Wearing a blue white kimono and carrying two swords on his side, he looked like a samurai from the historic ages.
He was our friendly uncle who dwelled in all sorts of machinery and weapons. He was our weapon maker and weapon dealer back then. Pretty famous if you ask me.
Levi was of similar age but much thinner in comparison, a bit on the athletic side. Wearing a plain white shirt over black pants, he looked much more simpler than ever. If not for his white hair and bright blue eyes, he could have easily pulled that average persona he usually tries to be.
Levi was a network manager. He was our hacker that collected information from various sources online, though his sources weren\'t limited online but also to the outside world sometimes. Consequently, he was also an introvert that didn\'t like to interact much outside the group, hence I was the source of information from outside much of the time.
I looked at the four of them with a deep sigh, while the four of them looked at me with a nonchalant look.
"All right. Let me start with everything that I have collected up until now," I spoke as I started telling them about the tutorial and what they are. Invar and Levi were so shocked with the \'return from dead\' thing that they asked me about it in detail. Still, based on how much I understood, I explained it in simpler words to clear their confusion.
Then I told them about the skill limit, which made them look at their own skill set. I pondered over a few seconds before asking them to leave the problem of finding that [Skill Remover!] artifact to me, which they agreed without much problem.
I then asked them about their preferred weapons and budget. Their [Gift] type and what type of [Skills] they were looking out for, to which they pondered before giving out their preferences. It wasn\'t much outside of what I expected so I noted them out in brief.
"All right. That should be enough. You guys really did get a lot, eh?" I spoke as I saw them earning 5-10 million points each.
"How about you? How many points did you get?" Avida asked with her eyes narrowed to which I answered,"let\'s not get too personal, shall we? I didn\'t do much anyway. Just enough to barely survive."
"I think it\'s more than 10 million," Levi spoke as he observed my face.
"Are you kidding me? It\'s this cunning mastermind kid we are talking about. He must have found a loophole or something… I think it\'s about 50 million," Invar joined in.
"He could easily judge the price of something that\'s B-Grade and A-Grade, so he must have looked into it… it\'s more than 50 million,"Avida joined as she observed my face.
With a helpless look on my face, I turned to Boss for some help as I asked,"Boss. You believe me right?"
"Is it really 50 million?" Though she was doubting me instead.
Standing up as I have already got everything that I wanted from the conversation for now, I then looked at them with a refreshed look.
"Let\'s meet again in about 6 hours. Don\'t take any skills or weapons as I will be taking care of that. Meanwhile, either you can relax in a hotel or go to the [Training Camp!], to get accustomed to this world," I spoke as I observed them.
"I will relax," Levi spoke while Avida added,"I will be searching for Rebas." Meanwhile Invar and Boss chose to go to the [Training Camp!].
"Avida, keep the search near that area and Levi, there is a good hotel [Misc!] there with a lot of computers and similar stuff. It\'s a bit high-tech so you will love it. All right then, let\'s meet again in 6 hours near the [Training Camp!]," I spoke as they all nodded before I erased my presence once again.
They had already given me 8 million points each for the purchase so I didn\'t need to take it out of my pocket. Though before visiting that place, there was something that I needed to check.
As I was about to leave, I heard my friends talking once again.
"That bastard. He surely is something else. Things were going in a random direction before this… but as soon as he joined in, everything itself filled in the right place. I feel so much relaxed now," Avida relaxed, while Invar nodded.
"He is our little mastermind after all. He sees things 10s of steps ahead. Sometimes I forget he is just a child," he added while Levi made an irritated face.
"I don\'t understand why he left us? He could have become our leader. No offense, Boss," Levi spoke out.
Boss glared at Levi but didn\'t say anything. Seemingly she too agreed with Levi there. Meanwhile I just sighed as I walked away from there. It wasn\'t something that they talked about for the first time, but I wasn\'t suited for the role of leader.
I am someone who likes to work alone for the most part. I do my own thing while trying to reach a conclusion where I can relax and retire. I could support a team maybe, but lead them? Nah! Boss was more suited for something like that.
Anyways, I then ran towards the edge of the safe city, where people with heavy gears were standing. There was a variety of people, from beggars on the side to caravan of the rich. There were adventurers to protect those caravans and more of them who were going on a hunt.
\'All right. Emily told me that the weakest monster here was D-Grade, huh?\' I thought as I observed the [Map!] to see the closest monster which was about a mile away from here. It was a lone monster, probably separated from the group or something.
-Whoosh!
And then ignoring the people here, I then ran towards the forest.
[You have left the Safe City: Azkaban! The Safe protection is now deactivated!]
With my [Parkour!] activated over my 72 Agility, I ran as fast as possible towards that monster. And 15 minutes later, I found a wolf-like monster with two long teeths.
[Twin Guns: Burst Mode!]
-BOOM!!
[You have killed a D-Grade Monster: Fanged Wolf!]
[+5000 Points!]
[+1250 GM Points!]
\'So it\'s really true, huh? The points earned here are only 10% of what you earned in Tutorial,\' I sighed as I really missed the chance to kill that Boss Monster. I wonder how much he could have been worth.
\'Though on the bright side, the GM Points were still the same,\' a bright smile appeared on my face as I changed the mode of the [Twin Guns] to [Twin Blades!]
And taking a look around the area…
[Your [Gift!] has increased by 1 Grade!]
There wasn\'t any change in the description of the [Gift], but on a closer look, the information of the monsters and the players were more accurate now. If previously, I could only look at their genders and minor stuff, I could now look at their power level in comparison to mine. It also showed the grade of the monsters… another welcomed change.
Well, it was just a start. I then located the next few monsters in the area and began moving towards them at faster speed.
-Whoosh!
[You have killed a D-Grade Monster: Flying Frey!]
[You have killed a D-Grade Monster: Blue Eyed Felix!]
[You have killed a D-Grade Monster: Marrow Kobold!]
[You have killed a D-Grade Monster: Nest Worm!]
[You have killed a D-Grade Monster: White Plant Eater!]
…
[Luke\'s POV!]
"Kid. Are you sure that it is the best course of action?" I asked as he looked at the [Training Camp!] in front of me. I heard a lot of things from that rich brat I met in the park, and following his words, I bought a bunch of training gear that would boost my growth in the next 24 hours.
"We would have gone to the outer area to hunt real monsters, but you will die in less than a minute so we need to take the next most appropriate course of action," the kid, Hamilton, spoke as he looked at the [Training Camp!].
"Well. It\'s not like I have any better ideas," I said observing the camp before looking at the people around me. There were some people that I have seen in the city, and few from my high school as well.
Looking at Tristan and Reyan, I sighed. It seems like people really do come back to life here. Just how much did I mess up? I sighed as I was too over my head with all that power…Well. I will be working alone from now on…
"But wouldn\'t it be better to be better geared?" I asked as I looked at the dozens of different weapons in my backpack. They were all training wooden gears that might break within a few draws. Though Hamilton urged me to buy them, I decided to go along with it.
"What you would learn here is not how to control a weapon. You already know how to. But instead, we will focus on two things. First is to make you learn how to utilize mana within your body and pour it into the weapons that don\'t use mana. The second is to make you learn basic [Art] of all the weapons, so that you will utilize it with better weapons without breaking them," he said, making me nod.
I guess he was right. I was wondering what those [Arts] meant in my [Gift]. Well, according to Hamilton, these are special weapon skills that you can perform to get 2 to 3 times more powerful strikes. These are a series of combination attacks that one can perform resulting in much more powerful attacks than one normally would do when rashly hitting.
They were faster, more precise, more strong. Depending upon the number of strikes, they can even be deadly and can kill a target within 10 strikes. Sometimes they even ignore defenses if performed with accuracy and focus.
And given how my gift increases the effects of those arts by 4 times, I couldn\'t help but look forward to this training.
[Gift: One with the Weapon!
Grade: Upper Mortal Grade-2

-Increase the attack power of the weapon of the user by 800% of strength!
-The user will be able to use the weapons with 40% increased proficiency!

-Easier to learn [Art!] of any weapon! All [Weapon Art!] will have a 400% increased effect!]
