Chapter 269 Robot & Kaiju-First Half

Chapter 269 Robot & Kaiju-First Half

Daniel remembered that the last time he used the Hecatonchires avatar, its power was equal to 50 according to the creature card scale. He also recalled that when he pummeled Satan into oblivion using that avatar, its power was just 30. He wasn\'t sure if he could control its power well enough to avoid harming Envy\'s body on the Leviathan\'s head in the process.

"Then… How are we going to do this?" asked Envy. Right now, she could use magic, but since she was in the homunculus body, she couldn\'t utilize all of her magic, as many of her specialized spells required her witch power.

Daniel let out a sigh, regretting the fact that he didn\'t bring Abysmos along, leaving him to wander around the Andaman sea and Sector Alpha City deeper section of the coast. Otherwise, this task would have been easier, but then again, if he brought Abysmos along, the travel time it would take would be more than a day, as Abysmos\'s speed was not as fast as the VTOL.

Daniel then kept his wandering thoughts to the back of his mind and sank his mind into the mindscape once again. The new card still hadn\'t been drawn, but there was one card that might work in this situation.

"Envy, let me confirm two things. First, you only need to tire it out, right? Until its power is subdued enough for you to seal it. And second, does Sri Lanka have the Hightower branch that can assist?" Daniel asked for confirmation.

"Yes! I only need its power to be subdued enough to seal it. But about the Hightower branch in Sri Lanka, no, we don\'t have that. The nearest Hightower branch is in New Delhi in India," Envy replied.

"Why? What are you trying to do?" Envy asked, sensing a potential plan but also having a bad feeling about it.

"Yeah… this might be a little bit complicated; let Leviathan go to the land mass first. It\'s too deep here," Daniel said without explaining anything, leaving Envy to wonder about his plan.

Out of trust, Envy followed his lead, and the pilot and the officer in the VTOL also adhered to his command, trailing Leviathan from afar as it swam toward the nearest landmass to find its prey and satisfy its urge for violence and bloodlust.

The VTOL trailed Leviathan from a safe distance as it continued its journey toward the landmass, reaching a point 20 nautical miles from Dondra to the north. The colossal creature\'s movements were accompanied by sporadic bursts of lightning storms, creating an electrifying display that reverberated through the sky.

Leviathan\'s massive form cut through the water, leaving a trail of turbulence in its wake. The sea beneath it roiled with intensity, responding to the creature\'s innate power. The VTOL, vigilant in its observation, maintained a strategic distance to avoid the brunt of the elemental chaos.

As Leviathan approached the designated location, the anticipation on the VTOL heightened. The crew onboard could feel the raw energy emanating from the Leviathan, a force of nature that seemed both magnificent and terrifying.

"Daniel…" Envy called out to the man beside her.

"Huh?" Daniel turns toward her, intrigued at what Envy\'s trying to convey.

Envy took a good look into Daniel\'s eyes. Right now, after the betrayal she received from the Hightower and the stunt that the Hightower pulled to hurt the youngest of the witch Sloth, she didn\'t have any sympathy for the Hightower anymore—only regret that she wasn\'t good enough to lead the Hightower to a good cause and let it develop this way.

In contrast, she\'s afraid for Daniel. Since the Hightower has a lot of authority and influence over the mage population in the world, she\'s afraid that the Hightower might pull the excommunicado card on Daniel if he were to do drastic things like exposing the Curtained World to the masses. Daniel was, of course, strong, but she didn\'t think that he\'s strong enough to face the entire world… yet.

On the way here, she saw many ships, both fishing and freighters from afar, that should have witnessed Leviathan\'s journey. Also, the Hightower is in a mess right now, so she doesn\'t believe that the Hightower would be able to cover this up. The London HQ is in a mess right now, so this matter is as good as exposed. But… as long as the Curtained World as a whole isn\'t exposed, it is still in the range of being manageable.

"I trust you, and whatever you do, I\'ll support it," Envy said with determination, deciding to fully trust this man.

Daniel didn\'t know what was going through Envy\'s mind right now, but he got a sense that Envy had already decided to stay with him and shouldn\'t consider the Hightower anymore. He sensed that he had fully gained her trust.

"Don\'t worry, Envy… I have a plan," Daniel said with a smile before he crouched on one knee and placed both of his palms on the VTOL floor, sinking his mind into the mindscape.

Even though a new card had been drawn during the time of travel, the new card was a spell card with an effect that could destroy the creature. Of course, he didn\'t choose it, as he was afraid that he might destroy Envy\'s body along with Leviathan. He could only choose to use the only card that he could use to resolve this situation.

Card: Adamantine Colossus

Picture: A fiercely looking colossal black steel golem the size of a 70th-floor high-rise building.

Rarity: Legendary

Type: Artifact, Creature

Mana Cost: 10

Description: [Indestructible], [Unstoppable]

Power: 11

Toughness: 11

Flavor text: Size matters.

This is one of the Legendary cards that he got when he opened the \'Sinking of Atlantis\' card box set. Since this thing is not a unique creature and it\'s not sentient, he didn\'t need to actualize it inside that room, and he didn\'t need the Merit point to actualize it. That\'s why he decided to put it into the deck.

Daniel focused his mind and willed the spot where this card would be actualized under the sea. Then, he activated this card inside the mindscape.

At this moment, light shone on Daniel\'s hand, and a small magic circle appeared on the VTOL floor, roughly the size of two A4 papers. However, this was incomparable to what was happening under the sea.

Beneath the churning waves of the sea, where Leviathan\'s primal power echoed, a phenomenon unfolded. At first, the depths remained undisturbed, hiding the secret about to emerge. Then, with a majestic glow, a magic circle manifested on the seafloor, the magic power that bend reality begin to manifest.

Slowly, the colossal figure materialized, crouching on one knee as if rising from the very heart of the earth. Massive and imposing, the Adamantine Colossus emerged with each detail becoming clearer as it ascended from the depths. Its form was a marvel, composed of robust, adamantine-black armored plates, each layer contributing to its formidable appearance.

As the behemoth rose, the sea level concealed the lower part of its massive structure. The glow of blue emanated from its eyes, powered by the magic drawn from a large philosopher\'s stone embedded within its core. The colossal golem, standing at an awe-inspiring height of 120 meters, was a testament to both the power and craftsmanship of the Atlantean Empire of old.

With each passing moment, the Adamantine Colossus continued to ascend, gradually revealing its immense stature. The sea, disturbed by the emergence of these titans, roared in response. The colossal figure reached its full height, standing proudly, ready to face the Leviathan.

The Leviathan, unaware of the looming threat from the sea floor, continued its journey toward the landmass. The sea, now caught between these two colossal beings, mirrored the tension building beneath the surface.

"What!? What is that thing!? Daniel… Did you create this?" Envy blurted out, her surprise tinged with alarm.

Her knowledge was extensive, having been one of the Hightower Grand Councilors. She recognized the hulking colossus, standing at an impressive 120 meters, crafted from tempered steel made of pure Adamantine.

As of now, the Hightower still struggled with the knowledge of bending and effectively utilizing Adamantine, resorting to the highest heat from their spells to shape it into simpler objects like daggers and trinkets. The production of Adamantine plates, like the one forming the colossal golem, remained a mystery even to the dwarves.

"Yes," Daniel nodded, adding a bit of a bluff. "This thing is one of my experimental projects. I just teleported it here from the secret warehouse under the base," Daniel explained.
