Chapter 1897 Not the Slightest Bit
Chapter 1897 Not the Slightest Bit
This was all to say that all of the mutations and modifications that normal Necromancers were used to making, Summoning Necromancers had pioneered. Of course, this was easy to overlook because often, Summoning Necromancers would just choose to summon more powerful Summons when one of theirs became too weak. However, it could be said that this was a dividing tier between even this rarest breed of Necromancer.
That said, this wasn\'t the main reason why this was possible. Ultimately, the ones that were responsible were the Demons themselves.
Ryu had already learned that the nature of Nether Qi was chaotic. It opened up many possibilities for paths that could be taken. Rather than Chaos that broke Order, Nether Qi was able to allow chaos within Order, allowing for change and growth.
It wasn\'t a surprise that this Nether Qi was found in the Nether Plane, the place of rebirth. That was where it was most effective, where it could allow for souls to be taken in, reborn, and evolve to a new tier in their next lives, or even regress depending on the situation.
This was how evolution took place, and how one generation could be better than the former, and so on. However, it was also because of this that regression was possible. Lowercase chaos didn\'t guarantee progress, it could easily hamper a person as well.
This aside, the main point was that the bodies of Demons were the most capable of evolution. However, there was a problem to consider.
It had to be remembered that Demons could be summoned because of a weakness in their path. They ended up with the worst of both worlds as a result of this, having gained both the weaknesses of the Beast Races and the Human Races.
Ultimately, it was their connection to the Heavens that might restrict them. They had bodies that were prepped and ready for evolution, but unfortunately if Ryu wanted to allow Hrakka to touch upon true Chaos, it would be difficult.
It had to be remembered that chaos was still a form of Order, it wasn\'t true Chaos. As such, there would be restrictions in doing this. Unless… Well, unless Hrakka was in a world that was completely under Ryu\'s control. He was the one that decided what was Order and what was Chaos here.
Before, he didn\'t have the right to do such a thing. But now… he certainly could.
Ryu made sure that Hrakka was comfortable and in a peaceful state. From time to time, a drop of Embryonic Qi would appear seemingly out of nowhere and fall into her mouth.
Her body was forced into a perfect state of evolution, constantly becoming small bits better with every drop.
As this happened, Ryu\'s focus was on the Fiends.
Not all of them were created equal. Fiends were born with a set of Meridians at the start of their life that would decide all of their talent. It seemed that all of these Meridians were just weakened versions of Ryu\'s own Chaotic Silk Meridians.
\'There…\'
Ryu found it. The best pair of Meridians here were a pair of God Grade ones.
As far as he knew, the Tiers were separated into Common, Black, Earth, Heaven, Ancestral, then there were the God Tiers from Fragmented to God, and then above that were the Ancient Grade and the Primordial Grade. This Primordial Grade was the highest Grade that appeared in the Fiend Race, and it was the closest existence to Ryu\'s Meridians.
However, truthfully speaking, even if there was a Primordial Grade Meridian right in front of Ryu, he wouldn\'t even take a second glance at it. That was because how could it even begin to compare?
Even Primordial Grade Chaos Meridians would only have access to a single type of qi. Even if it was one of the rare mutations and they survived the maturing process, it would still only be two at best, three if the sun rose from the wrong side of the world for a day.
However, they were perfect for Hrakka. There were just two problems.
First, this was a set of Meridians from a Sovereign. Second, it was of the Lightning affinity, not fire.
These issues were all troublesome for their own reasons. A Sovereign\'s Meridians were obviously tempered by an energy far beyond what Hrakka could manage. Even if you were going to transplant Meridians, it had to be done with someone at the same Level or beneath you. And obviously, Lightning wasn\'t Hrakka\'s affinity.
There were several Sovereign Grade Fire Chaos Meridians here, so Ryu could easily take a step back on that front. But that wouldn\'t fix the ultimate problem in the end. So since he was going to be doing something crazy one way or another, why not go all the way.
Ryu could feel the pressure of the Sovereign\'s corpse as he approached. If not for his Inner World, it would be impossible even to store these corpses. In fact, if not for his Inner World, even standing before them would be impossible.
There was a reverence that people had for Lords and Sovereigns alike that made sense even if they were not Gods. These were ultimately existences that the Heavens had blessed with Noble Titles. They weren\'t common riffraff, and even as the dead, the pressure they exuded should be enough to kill an expert like Ryu, especially since they were no longer conscious to restrain their aura.
Ryu took a breath and pressed a hand down on the chest of his target. It was a man who was rippling with waves of golden lightning. He hardly had a human form anymore and was just a bundle of energy that was vaguely humanoid. Very vaguely.
\'It\'s possible.\' Ryu thought with a flash in his eyes.
His own Chaotic Silk Meridians churned and slowly, but surely, the energy of the man was being suppressed again and again.
This was precisely why the Dream Wraith had told him to hide his Chaotic Silk Meridians. His ability to suppress Fiends with his Meridians was what they feared the most. Before him, they would be hard pressed to use their qi at all.
Now, under this power, and with the support of his Inner World, he could…
Ryu\'s gaze flashed and he pulled. At that moment, a bundle of runes and energy manifested, ripped right out of the body of the Fiend.
One would expect to see an organ, but Ryu wasn\'t surprised by the sight at all. The Fiends were all so ethereal in nature, being made mostly of their elements. It wasn\'t a surprise that their Meridians looked like this.
But truthfully, this would likely be the case for anyone.
The important root of a Meridian wasn\'t the flesh, but rather the Heavenly Blessings and laws that were tied to them.
Just holding them like this, lightning sparked and seemed to want to escape his grasp. It felt like he was holding a wet, slithering snake.
Ryu reached out a hand and several Fire Fiends convulsed. Runes were ripped out of them as well.
With swift steps, he appeared by Hrakka\'s side. But as he was about to press down, he suddenly hesitated.
What was he doing? Why hadn\'t he thought of this before?
Ryu\'s gaze flickered and he sent the Meridians back, using their former bodies to chain them in place. All that was left was a single Sovereign Grade Fire Chaos Meridian.
With a flash of light, Ryu\'s Primordial Fire Chaotic Qi took shape and began to temper it.
Ryu observed it for a long while, watching the changes.
Soon, he grinned.
After just a few seconds, the Sovereign Grade Runes had actually begun to evolve.
Ryu grabbed out with a hand and flicked a drop of Embryonic Qi on them.
\'Perfect.\'
The Meridians broke past a barrier and became God Grade.
Ryu didn\'t stop. n/ô/vel/b//in dot c//om
As the Meridians evolved, their aura plummeted. It was like killing two birds with a single stone. Even the Sovereign Aura dropped to Lord, and then by the time it was inching toward Ancient status, it was already beginning to fall back down toward Omniscient.
Many hours later, Ryu actually had a Primordial Grade set of Meridians for Hrakka that only carried the aura of the Transcended Realm of Cultivation.
It was only then Ryu pressed it down into Hrakka\'s body.
Would it cause a commotion if people thought he was using a Primordial Grade Talent as a Summon?
Of course.
Did he care?
Not the slightest bit.
