Chapter 123: A Visitor Or..
"Where are you, Kyle!?" Calista muttered under her breath with her phone in hand.
She was reckless and couldn\'t believe that she hadn\'t heard from Kyle for some time now.
She began to question if he had ghosted her, that was the only logical explanation for something this drastic to happen.
Calista hated how affected she was by this but it wasn\'t in her place to make a scene.
This was always a possibility, she knew that it would happen sooner or later but she got ahead of herself and began to get too comfortable.
This was why she kept it simple but Kyle had managed to break through her defense.
In the end, she wasn\'t surprised that this was the result.
She actually thought she could keep someone like Kyle even after she had been a bitch to him?
Kyle had shown her a lifestyle that no one else would be able to live up to.
She kept checking her phone and Lorenzo noticed this.
He noted that she was uneasy and decided to talk to her about what could potentially be troubling her.
"Are you alright?" Lorenzo questioned but Calista\'s attention was on her phone.
Lorenzo\'s words fell on deaf ears but Calista snapped out of it the moment her phone rang.
She looked at it and saw it was a call from Kyle.
Only then did she look up and see Lorenzo standing there, wondering how long he had been there
Calista picked up the call without hesitation and every thought she had melted away the moment she heard those words.
[[Hey you…]]
Calista had a wide smile on her face and Lorenzo didn\'t need to be a detective to know that whoever was at the other end of the phone must have been the reason for her unusual behaviour these past couple of days.
"Kyle! Where have you been!?" Calista couldn\'t hold back but Kyle realized that she must have been worried out of her mind.
However, he couldn\'t have her worry about him even more so he had to pick between lying and telling the truth.
A lie would have been more effective but Kyle learned a thing from Jane, honesty.
That was the most reassuring thing a person can give another and Kyle told her everything that happened to him these past couple of days– at least the version he told the others.
Calista\'s jaw dropped and she realized that Kyle could have died with her not knowing any better.
This frightened her and made her realize that she needed to be more involved in Kyle\'s life.
She got embarrassed that she thought this was about her when he was fighting for his life, it made her feel selfish.
Calista had a scene to act but couldn\'t focus, she wanted to go to Kyle.
Lorenzo noticed that she needed to go and sighed upon seeing how restless she was.
"AHHHG!" Lorenzo suddenly screamed at the top of his lungs and everyone looked in his direction, startled.
"What\'s wrong!?" Calista was closest to him.
"Go…" Lorenzo said in a whisper, they were supposed to act a scene together but there was no way for that scene to go on if one of them was unable to.
Lorenzo was pretending to have an episode.
Calista mouthed a "thank you" to him and left the studio to go to Kyle.

Kyle was affected by his three-day slumber, it felt like he rediscovered a lost part of himself.
He couldn\'t shake it off but knew he might have to revisit the home he grew up in.
Everything that Kyle experienced in that nightmare wasn\'t how he remembered it.
This included his mother\'s death but these were thoughts that he couldn\'t dwell on right now.
"Man, fuck my life…" Kyle muttered under his breath.
He realized how easy it was for him to lose everything he had, all it would take was a fatal wound.
But it wasn\'t the adrenaline in his body that saved him, it was the endurance that the system he has been blessed bestowed upon him when he drew the lottery.
Kyle knew that Mike couldn\'t come here to finish the job as it was too risky.
If not the CCTV camera but the security, this hospital was in no way cheap especially Kyle, who had been moved into the VVIP section.

That was how the hospital operated, they had a slave for the everyday people and a specialized location for the rich. This setting worked because it meant that they could treat everyone without depriving one of service.
There was a certain fee you pay, Kyle paid that fee the moment the ladies were gone with his black card and was moved to that part of the hospital.
It had heightened security but the most important part of this compartment was the comfort.
It was far more comfortable, the service was more or less the same as the other section.
The doctors and nurses were alert, they treated every life like it mattered, an art that has been lost in other hospitals.
Kyle was ushered into a room and Calista was on her way so they would get all the privacy they would need but something told Kyle he was in for a scolding.
"Mister Kyle, you have a guest," A nurse informed Kyle.
"Oi system, show me Calista\'s location," Kyle requested and a cyan screen appeared to show that it wasn\'t her, she was approximately five minutes away.
It couldn\'t be Jane, Ella, or Nate either.
"Sir?" The nurse asked, waiting for an answer but Kyle knew he had to be careful with his choice because there was o
only one person came to mind.
And that was Mike.
