Chapter 884 Piccolo of the Flaming Fire

"Piccolo of the Flaming Fire," Remnant Dream announced, reading out the description of the loot. "Play to invoke the spirit of dance in those around you."

"Good stuff, but this is more of a toy. If you want it, then roll for it," Lu Li said. He decided not to roll for it because he wasn’t interested in these type of items. He thought of giving it to his sister, but she wasn’t the type of girl to prank others.

"What does it mean by invoking the spirit of dance?" Wandering asked.

This was such a niche item, and although they explanation was quite simple, it was difficult to understand exactly what it meant.

"Play it, Dream," Lu Li said.

Remnant Dream placed the piccolo near her mouth and blew into the instrument. She didn’t know how to play it, so it naturally sounded like a dying cat. However, despite how awful it sounded, everyone was still enchanted by its special effect.

The nine other players around her began dancing uncontrollably. However, Lu Li knew this was going to happen and managed to shake himself out of it.

"Wow, what a cool item!" Azure Sea Breeze exclaimed as his eyes sparkled.

"It’s like a magical piccolo in the fairy tales!" Hachi Chan also wanted it.

Most people felt the same way; even Moonlight was tempted to roll for it. Making someone dance uncontrollably whenever you wanted would make for a hilarious prank. The poor victim would look like the biggest idiot, especially at the right timing and location.

"I won’t roll for it – up to you guys. Whoever gets it can pay for the repair fees for this dungeon. There’s still one last mini Boss left. After that, we’ll call it a day and you guys can have free time," Lu Li said as he waved his hands and went ahead by himself.

Eventually, Sakura Memories was determined as the lucky winner of the piccolo, but she gave it to Hachi Chan straight away rather than putting it away in her own inventory.

"I was gonna give it to you as well," Azure Sea Breeze said.

Taking care of the younger players was part of the culture that had been developed in the Xin Xin Mercenary Group. Even if Azure was lying through his teeth, they still didn’t call him out on it.

The last boss was called The Unforgiven.

Lylia was a blade of righteousness among her people. She followed her prince to conquer land, slaying countless and various enemies including Gnolls, Murlocs, Trolls and Thieves. She admired her prince and would give her life away for him and for the king of Lordaeron.

After Arthas commanded his forces to purge the city, her sanity was ripped apart from seeing countless innocent civilians die by her hand. She fell on her sword to escape the madness around her, and now existed as a spectral being, forever denied absolution for her heinous acts, forever wandering in Statholme.

The fight would be difficult from the very start because Lylia was a Mage-type boss. Her skills included Frost Shock, which blasted the players with ice, inflicting Frost damage and reducing their movement speed.

Azure Sea Breeze was already quite slow and was now basically immobile because of the movement speed reduction. He also had lower Magic Resistance than Physical Defense.

No one dared to deal too much damage in case they accidentally drew aggro. Additionally, because of the debuff, it would take Azure Sea Breeze quite a while to get it back because of the movement speed reduction.

"What the heck, this Boss is so hard to deal with," Azure Sea Breeze complained.

"This is a matter of skill. Are you going to give up just because she deals magic damage and slows you down a little?" Lu Li mocked him. Azure Sea Breeze had finally realized his weaknesses. There would be many Bosses in the future that counter him; it was impossible to simply stand there and face-tank the Boss as he had done in the earlier levels.

"What should I do then?" Azure Sea Breeze asked with a painful expression.

"Let Moonlight help you. Go and ask him how to deal with Frost Mages. You can also switch your gear around to increase your flexibility," Lu Li suggested. He couldn’t be bothered teaching him. Besides, there was no way that he would know more than Moonlight about tanking.

Moonlight obviously obliged and pointed out some positioning and mechanical flaws that Azure Sea Breeze had.

Lu Li also gave his two cents; most of his knowledge about tanking came from his past life.

The Unforgiven dropped an axe called the Soul Breaker.

The stats were decent, but it had a very unique Special Effect. When attacking, it caused the target to lose an additional 50 points of health and mana.

"This weapon is pretty good against classes with low mana," Moonlight observed. It was clear that he had good insight and knowledge about the game.

The Soul Breaker would be useless against a Mage or a Warlock because they had more mana than HP, as well as a fast MP recovery. A PVP fight would last around a minute or so, making it impossible to empty their mana pool with the Soul Breaker.

However, against Paladins, who used up large amounts of mana, this weapon would be devastating.

"Take it – I don’t think there’s anyone else that wants it," Lu Li said as he gave the weapon to Moonlight. Soul Breaker was only useful in PVP settings as its stats were mediocre for PVE. The special effect was also useless against Bosses.

"There’s one more item. It’s only Silver grade but,..." Remnant Dream began, then paused and yelled.

"What? What?" Whenever Remnant Dream had this reaction, everyone became excited because of what was to follow. Lu Li was also excited, but he knew that a Silver equip wouldn’t usually be enough for Remnant Dream to go crazy like that.

Remnant Dream hastily shared the details of the equipment.

Mask of the Unforgiven (Silver): Defense +5%, All stats +10, Special Effects 1: Increase Stealth effects by 10%. Special Effects 2: Allows the user to transform into another class. Effect will expire once the user enters battle. Requires Level 40, No Durability.

It was a mask!

This was an extremely rare item. The mask that most players wore had no stats and was only for aesthetic purposes.

Lu Li was lucky because he had purchased a decent one from the Exchange Hall when the game first tarted. However, compared to that, Mask of the Unforgiven was much better.

Nameless (Steel): 1 Defence, All Stats +1, Special Effect: Hides Information (can be

toggled), Level Requirement: LV1. No Durability.

The Mask of the Unforgiven allowed the user to transform into another class, which was a very attractive feature for Lu Li. Additionally, it provided a passive that boosted his Stealth, which was very beneficial for Thief classes. Not to mention, the stats completely outclassed his previous mask.

However, Lu Li did not want to force them to give it to him.

Although the item provides a special effect that increased Stealth, the 5% Defense could also be very beneficial for the Main Tank.

Moonlight could also benefit from this item. As a Warrior, he had much higher base Defense than a Thief and the additional Defense would be helpful in a PVP setting.
