Chapter 1051: Hachi Chan’s Mentor

“Hehe, grandpa Remulos.”

Hachi Chan shamelessly went over and greeted him; she even had the audacity to grab him by the arm. The others players that were watching her were shocked.

“Hmph, stop that. Who told you to come this time?” Remulos said coldly, but didn’t push her away.

“Hamuul Runetotem,” Hachi Chan answered with a bright smile, not willing to let go of his arm.

Hamuul? How do you know him?” Remulos raised his eyebrows. Though he was the protector of the Moonlight Forest and worked closely with both Horde and Alliance members, when it came to speaking with adventures, he needed to be careful and keep an appropriate distance.

Hamuul Runetotem was a Tauren and the leader of the Horde Druids as well as the head of the Runetotems.

He was also the childhood friend of Cairne Bloodhoof, the high Chieftain of the Taurens.

Based on Cairne Bloodhoof’s age, Tamuul was actually considered to be an elder. He had at least one child, Bashana Runetotem, as well as many relatives and connections in the Runetotem family. As the sole survivor of his generation of his family, he had witnessed the invasion of the Centaurs and the bloodshed that the other races had brought upon his people.

During the Battle at Mount Hyjal, he fought alongside Cairne Bloodhoof.

After the third war, Hamuul sought out the night elf Archdruid Malfurion Stormage, befriending him and asking to be taught the Druidic arts.

Malfurion happily agreed despite the strenuous objections of his former student Archdruid Fandral Staghelm.

After a few years, he mastered the Druidic arts under the guidance of Malfurion and rightfully earned the title of Archdruid for himself.

As the elder of the Tauren, he resided in the Elder Rise of Thunder Bluff where he began mentoring young druids.

Thunder Bluff was the Tauren Capital City and Hachi Chan had no idea how she had met Archdruid Hamuul, or even earned herself a place under his guidance.

“It’s not that I didn’t want to be your student. It’s just that I already had become one without me even realizing,” Hachi Chan mumbled sheepishly.

Everyone was speechless.

There were different tiers of mentors and different skills that could be taught to their students.

Most players found it extremely difficult and an honor to find a low tier mentor, yet there were multiple famous legends that were fighting to make her their student.

What was even more ridiculous was that she didn’t even realize that she had agreed to be mentored. This kind of luck had to be some kind of a bug; it was almost as if she was the main character of a novel.

However, compared to some other players, this wasn’t as ridiculous. Consider the second generation millionaires, or those who became rich with only a little hard work.

Those people had little to no talent or skills, but they managed to succeed without doing much at all.

“Oh, who’s your mentor?” Remulos was curious.

Remulos never planned on mentoring an adventurer since the class ‘Forest Protector’ did not actually exist. His magical powers came from the Nature and the Moon Gods.

He wanted to make Hachi Chan his student. Although he wasn’t a full Druid, as a demigod, Remulos thought that he was the perfect candidate to be her mentor.

In reality, if a player wanted to learn skills from a different class, the easiest way was to seek out a mentor of another class.

However, the demigod was rejected!

He wanted to find out who it was that stole his student.

“Ever since I received this weapon, I became Malfurion’s student,” Hachi Chan explained as she took out her staff. She had already replaced her previous Legendary weapon and seemed to have obtained another one.

“Oh, is that the Winds of Nature?!” Remulos exclaimed as he waved his arms and the staff flew into his hands.

Remulos examined the staff just like he had done with Lu Li’s ultimate ring. Lu Li was curious as well and asked Hachi Chan what the stats on the staff were.

Lu Li was shocked at the stats of her staff and felt ashamed when he looked at his own.

Apparently Malfurion had used the Winds of Nature in his younger years. It had kept him company from when he was a young Elven child to being one of the greatest legends in Azeroth.

This Lv50 weapon could also level up.

It was the first time Lu Li had seen a Legendary weapon that could level up; he had never seen it before in his past life either.

Hachi Chan had become Malfurion Stormage’s student. Even though he was still in a deep slumber in the Emerald Dream, as a close friend to him, Remulos dared not to steal his student from him.

Remulos decided to let the whole matter go.

“Okay, let me explain to you the details of this quest,” Remulos said as he casted a crowd-control spell towards Remnant Dream, who was trying to Domesticate him.

Remnant Dream thought that she could Domesticate him because he looked like some kind of a deformed deer. Remulos’ father was Malorne The White Stag, so it wasn’t exactly offensive to think that way about him.

“Be my pet please! I can feed you and protect you...”

Unfortunately, no matter how hard Remnant Dream tried, she wouldn’t be able to tame the demigod.

After taking care of the naive little hunter, Remulos explained the details of the quest.
