“Now I know how the devil is made,” she wiped the drops of sweat over her forehead before she turned to look at Huo Yunting, “But it’s kind of relieving, to be frank.” She tittered. The man got up and went to grab her a hot towel from the counter. The moment he came back he knelt on one knee and cleaned her reddish cheeks, “Well, don’t tell me you have me in your mind when you pounded him.”

“You knew?” She joked. To be honest, she never thought of anybody back then.

“Well, if you wanted to pound me, pound me on the bed, anyhow, the missionary maybe.”

“...” Lu Zhaoyang was speechless.

Geez, whatever crap this man could say in public...

“I’m done. I’ll be in the shower. Wait for me.” She rose from her seat, only to crash back down onto it, “Ow...” She was so drained from the hand-to-hand combat that she could not control her body any longer. “Let me help you.” And there went the devil, carrying her in his embrace as if his tribute to the shower room. Everyone had their eyes upon the couple. The path to the shower room felt like an eternity to her as she covered her even-reddened face.

Her mind could not stop replaying the embarrassing episode just now that she only came to her senses when they got home. Huo Yunting did not talk much and promptly returned to his room. He behaved himself during dinner as well as the little chat after dinner.

And when night was dark, he flipped over the balcony like a dexterous thief reaching for his princess. When he flipped open the blanket, he acted like a monstrous fiend. Lu Zhaoyang could not resist. She could only comply to his every need that the alarm clock rang when she finally had the time to close her eyes.

“And I thought hibernation is for bears. Looks like young girls today need more beauty sleep than an old lady like me.” There she heard her evil grandmother as she hauled her lifeless body to the living room. Zhaoyang gawked at the granny’s beloved grandson.

Like who do you think that caused this?

“Morning, granny,” responded Lu Zhaoyang with a courteous, mechanical greeting as she bowed briefly before plunging herself into the kitchen.

If I can handle Huo Yunting, I can handle an old, hot-tempered, ignorant lady.

At least it’s Sunday today and I can have a proper res—

“Granny, I’m sorry but I have to get Zhaoyang out today for some work.”

Zhaoyang dropped her toast upon hearing that sudden announcement.

Excuse me? I said I wanted to rest. And everyone else on Earth knows you aren’t going to work!

She just followed the man anyway. Due to the lack of sleep, her mind stayed in the other dimension the entire time when her man led the way. And before she realized, she was already tied up with safety belts while standing by a cliff.

Her piercing eyes almost impaled the giggling man next to her.

“Of all extreme sports you chose bungee jumping ON A WINTER DAY. I have a fear of heights, for your information. So, please, consider my poor little heart before anything next time!” she shouted as she was frozen upon the abysmal valley.

She might be frozen but the man behind her was not. In fact, he was having fun as he gave her a gentle push from the back. “Eeeek!” The sound of a pebble falling was thunderous in her ears.

“Scream on top of your lungs if you’re in fear. I’m taking you out to release yourself. So, hold back nothing.” Huo Yunting knew well the right way to unleash stress like he knew his girl.

“Huo Yunting, you and your sadistic choice of activities!” She looked upon the sky and screamed when the freezing breeze extinguished the vitality in her. “Brrr...” She shook as Huo Yunting grabbed her shoulders tightly.

“Ready?”

“NO. G-g-g-g-g-g-give me a minute. On second thought, I might need my entire lifetime for this.” Even her voice was no longer under her control. She was not sure if it was due to the cold weather or her fear of heights though.

“It’s okay. You jump, I jump. Just like Jack and Rose,” he whispered by her ears, smiling, “Go!”

And they fell.

“Nooooooo!!!” The loss of ground caused her to scream uncontrollably. It was as if her voice tried escaping from her throat before she hit the ground. The air turbulence drifted her as gravity forced her down. It felt like swimming in— desperation as she frantically looked for something to grab in her hand. Of course, she grabbed her man. Nonetheless, she could not stop shrieking as the wind sliced through her pale expression. She finally shut up as her throat felt painful. She held Yunting by his waist.

“Psh...”

“Try laughing again!” She hammered his back angrily.
