Chapter 582 Removing The Cursed Seal

Chapter 582 Removing The Cursed Seal

Damien\'s question seemed to baffle everyone, even Elor, who had no idea that the seal was still present on his ethereal core.

Damien felt that something felt off here and asked, "What happens when a Zirian dies? Especially one that had a cursed seal on their ethereal core?"

Irene seemed a bit distracted, but Reva, who had a clearer mind, answered, "We place our dead in the Pool of Serenity where Yohr said that or lied to us that he would help their souls reach a good place in their next life and that they can finally lead a happy new life. This was a practice we have been doing for centuries," Reva then squinted her eyes as she asked doubtfully, "Is there something wrong here? Was Yohr lying for a good reason because we already know by now that he treated us like ants and didn\'t really care about our dead."

Even Elor couldn\'t help but have his brows furrow upon hearing the discussion between these two.

Damien sighed and said, "I guess we will find out after I try and remove this Cursed Seal anyway."

"You can remove the seal?" Irene and Reva both asked at the same time coincidentally with baffled expressions.

Elor was also astonished, but then his expression relaxed, thinking that this was as expected from his genius grandson-in-law.

"Well, since I can sense the seal now, I can remove it as well. And this doesn\'t seem to be impossible, probably because it was Yohr who put it, and I inherited some of his powers," Damien mused aloud as he began to focus his ethereal energy towards Elor\'s ethereal core.

Irene and Reva held each other\'s hands as they anxiously looked on, though their expressions were no longer filled with despair because of the young man sitting before them.

Damien could see a murky azure bubble surrounding Elor\'s ethereal core. So he shaped his ethereal energy into a pin-point icy needle, so thin and small, one would even find it hard to see it with naked eyes.

Of course, he also had to make sure this \'needle\' didn\'t puncture Elor\'s internal organs.

However, Damien was an expert physician and had no problems in guiding this needle towards the ethereal core, and finally, he decided to pop the bubble by puncturing it.

*Pop!*

The sound of something literally popping resounded in the room, startling Irene and Reva, wondering what they just heard since they couldn\'t sense what Damien was able to sense.

But something shocking happened as they suddenly sensed a flood of powerful ethereal energy pouring out of Elor\'s ethereal core like a broken dam.

Elor\'s eyes widened as he was taken aback and shocked by the sudden burst of ethereal energy from his ethereal core, which should be in a broken state, incapable of producing even the tiniest wisp of ethereal energy.

"Quick! Help me control his ethereal energy!" Damien shouted, his tone filled with urgency as Irene and Reva, who were already ready, quickly placed their hands on Elor\'s legs as they prevented the powerful inflow of Ethereal energy from destroying Elor\'s nerves, bones, and muscles.

Since he had been living like a cripple for so long, his body had weakened so much compared to the times he had his cultivation. And so, there was no way his body in his current state would be able to steer this ethereal energy within his body.

Damien was taken aback as he didn\'t expect such powerful ethereal energy to burst forth from a crippled old man. He had to even activate his Undying Wrath skill to the maximum he could to try and hold back Elor\'s ethereal energy.

But even then, it didn\'t seem enough at all, and he had to call forth both Irene and Reva, who were able to take off a huge load from his side.

"Ugh!" Elor grimaced as he felt as if his body was literally about to get crushed by his own ethereal energy that shockingly came out of nowhere. But now that these three were helping him regulate his ethereal energy, Elor was able to calm down.

But most importantly, he was astonished that he could feel his long-lost ethereal energy once more! He was able to feel and control it by now, just like how anyone with cultivation could. Wouldn\'t this mean that he somehow became a cultivator again!

Irene and Reva couldn\'t help but smile in happiness as this meant that Elor became a cultivator again miraculously and couldn\'t help but look at Damien, feeling overwhelmed and grateful.

They were glad that Damien was a part of their family, but still, they were yet to process the shock of Elor regaining his cultivation.

They could feel the immense power behind the ethereal energy in his body to the point that even Irene was stunned.

They could see how Elor\'s body was gradually becoming healthier, his skin tightening up, his muscles reverting back to a younger state, and his face regaining its usual color, no longer looking pale and sickly. Even his beard and hair began to turn black compared to how white it was before.

His eyes also no longer looked gray and cloudy, but instead, they were now glowing with immense power and a firmly determined gaze. Elor had no idea how a cripple like him was able to regain not only his old cultivation but a slightly increased version of it.

Still, he felt an epiphany when he regained his cultivation, realizing that this was a second chance that had been granted to him to make sure he wouldn\'t leave behind any regrets, especially making sure that his daughter didn\'t die in vain.

Damien, Irene, and Reva removed their hands from Elor as, by this point, Elor\'s channeling system that was in a withered state before had now healed and become robust enough to channel his ethereal energy on their own.

But what shocked them all was how immensely powerful his cultivation was, especially Irene, who was not able to gauge his cultivation accurately but was able to form an idea based on her experience.

And according to her senses, his cultivation was now no weaker than the Eight Level of the Profound Ethereal Realm.

He was already the second strongest man in the continent now!
