Gu Mohan grasped her hand and pulled it away from his body.

Tang Mo’er was stunned, she lifted her lustrous eyes and looked right at him. “Mr Gu, we’ve already gotten so intimate and you’re still planning to marry Jun Xiyan?”

Gu Mohan pursed his lips, his chiseled features tensed up and he was exuding an ice-cold aura.

He didn’t answer her, did that mean that he agreed?

He was still thinking about getting married to Jun Xiyan?

Tang Mo’er instantly clenched her fists tight, punching him on the chest and kicking him altogether. “Gu Mohan, you bastard! You’ve already done such things to me and yet you’re not planning to be responsible for me?”

Gu Mohan allowed her to beat at him and he didn’t avoid her attacks. He showed a sardonic smile. “Tang Mo’er, are you extremely pleased with yourself now? You’ve had everything planned out, from appearing before me, to seducing me and successfully having me fall for your tricks. You’re trying so hard to get me to cancel my engagement with Jun Xiyan, what’s your next move? Get married to me to be the madam of the Gu family?

“Tang Mo’er, don’t think that I’m unaware of your unscrupulous ways. You have an ulterior motive and you’re trying to get something by slowly getting closer to me, isn’t that right?”

Tang Mo’er’s pupils contracted after hearing his words. So that was how he thought of her, a gold digger with ulterior motives?

Gu Mohan walked into the room, his imposing figure cold, like it was a million miles away from her. “We didn’t actually have sex just now, but I admit that I did lay my fingers on your body and I’m willing to compensate you for that. Name your price.”

He took out a check and passed it to her. “This is for you, fill in any number you desire.”

He gave her a check?

He actually gave her a check?

She felt as thought a bucket of cold water had drenched her from head to toe. She stared at the man in front of her, frozen in place. He really wasn’t the Mr Gu she knew.

Her Mr Gu was no longer here.

Stretching out her hands, she took the check into her hands.

“Miss Tang...”

Hiss.

Tang Mo’er tore the check into shreds and threw it in mid-air.

She tucked her silky hair behind her ears and smiled. “Mr Gu, there’s no need for a check. I’ll just treat it as... a casual session with you just now. Rest assured, I’ll never pester you ever again. I wish you and Jun Xiyan happiness. You two can get married and give birth to a child as soon as possible.”

Tang Mo’er then spun around on her heel and left.

...

She quickly disappeared before his eyes, she had finally left.

Gu Mohan’s mind was preoccupied with her charming yet decisive manner earlier on. She claimed that she would never pester him again.

That was the outcome he had desired.

This woman had caused him too much trouble. It was as though he had lost control over his body and mind. He didn’t like that feeling, not being able to assert control over himself.

Now, he had finally chased her away.

He seemed to have regained a peaceful life again.

But for some unknown reason, he felt that a piece of his heart had gone missing.

It hurt a lot.

...

Tang Mo’er stepped out of the Bole Villa and hailed a cab, returning to the A University.

She sat on the back seat and looked out of the window, observing the scenery outside. Hot tears welled up inside her eyes and slowly blurred her vision.

She covered her tiny face with her hands and burst into tears.

She couldn’t figure out what she had done wrong.

But at that moment, a sudden realization struck her. Her Mr Gu had already gone far away, leaving her behind on her own.

She wanted to search for him and make him hers again, but she just didn’t understand that he had a life of his own already. One without her.

But she just couldn’t forget about him and let things go.

The first person to leave would never suffer, but rather, the person left behind would have to tolerate all the pain and agony.

She had to remember all of their sweet memories and watch as he started a new life with someone else.

Someone that wasn’t her.

...

Tang Mo’er decided to take a breather, so she invited Lin Shiyu and An’an to accompany her to visit a hot spring.

The trio entered the place and with their ravishing beauty, they successfully captivated the attention of the entire clubhouse and stood out in the spotlight.

The concierge handed over three key cards. “Ladies, I’ve checked you in and these are your key cards. Please make sure to keep them secure. If you have any issues, please do not hesitate to let me know.”

“Thank you.” They received the key cards and were preparing to enter the elevator.

But a group of people appeared from the other side of the corridor. An’an greeted, “Brother.”

Tang Mo’er glanced over and thought to herself, what a day. Enemies often cross each other’s path and so many of her ‘acquaintances’ had appeared.

Gu Mohan and Jun Xiyan were together, behind them was Huo Beichen with Jun Xiling. Last but not least, Jun Chulin was also there.

They happened to cross paths along the corridor.

“Mo’er, what a coincidence, why are you here?” Jun Chulin walked in front to strike up a conversation with Tang Mo’er. He was clad in a maple-colored coat and was exuding a warm, personable aura.

Tang Mo’er removed her sunglasses and smiled at him. “Young Master Jun, it’s been too long.”

She then glanced at Huo Beichen and said hello. “Young Master Huo.”

Huo Beichen was still as devilishly charming as ever. Jun Xiling was holding onto his arms affectionately and he clearly wasn’t very happy to have her company. It was evident that he was chased after by a clingy Jun Xiling.

He didn’t have much of a reaction while looking at her, continuing to chew on his gum.

Tang Mo’er wasn’t bothered by it either. She had always known that this tyrant wasn’t fond of her and so she shifted her gaze onto Gu Mohan.

“Hello, President Gu,” she greeted him.

Gu Mohan sported a casual look, a navy blue coat with a dark colored turtle neck inside. He was just as suave as a fashion model on the runway.

His gaze landed on Tang Mo’er, he had already spotted her at first glance earlier on.

The trio was deserving of everyone’s attention with their ethereal beauty. She was dressed in a pink knit sweater and a long white skirt. Her hair was draped over her shoulders and she wore a pair of white, fashionable sunglasses. Her ravishing beauty captivated everyone’s attention without even trying to.

She called him...’President Gu’.

She stood in front of him, alive and kicking but she no longer looked at him with an adoring expression.

She greeted him politely, as though they were mere acquaintances.

He was disappointed and it showed on his face.

Tang Mo’er had already retracted her gaze, not even willing to look at him for even a second more.

“Mo’er, the elevator is here,” Lin Shiyu said.

And so everyone entered the elevator.

...

In the elevator.

Tang Mo’er and Jun Chulin stood beside each other and Jun Chulin asked, “Mo’er, I’ve heard the news of you arriving in the Capital, but what exactly are you here for?”

Tang Mo’er smiled and replied with her tender voice, “Oh, I came to the Capital just for... that someone, but now... it’s all over.”

I came to the Capital for that one person.

But now it’s all over.

Jun Xiyan was still holding onto Gu Mohan’s arm and she could feel his muscles tensing up once he heard Tang Mo’er’s words.

Jun Chulin had both hands in his trouser pocket and he caught a glimpse of Gu Mohan. His brows were knitted and he was exuding a dangerous aura.
